I’m mostly content, too tired to be exuberant right now but I just had a snap recollection of how gd annoying it was being lectured to about FFVII after AC by a bunch of new fans who thought they knew the fandom better than I did, or a bunch of old fans who hadn’t seen me before and also thought I needed to be lectured to, and can we please not do this, back and forth discussion is fine but don’t come explaining to me, or anyone who didn’t ask, like you have insider knowledge and we can’t possibly know what’s going on. Hi, new people, old people, good to see you, I’ve been here from the start, sry I’ve already had all the discussions I currently want to have about how much of Cloud is Cloud and how much is Zack, if it ain’t fic-building i can’t spare the time, but there’s plenty of other people up for that talk, I’m only here for the IMPORTANT things.

This is so true. To hell with the haters. If no validation there’s spite and the ability to create while others can’t or lack the will do so. I understand a lot of the time readers don’t know what to comment on a review other than “This was great!” or “Update soon!” but even those little comments help. It allows the author to know someone is reading, appreciating the fic, and the time that went into it. 

Keep on writing all writers out there. Not for fame. Not for others. But for yourself. Love your fandoms and keep those wonderful characters, worlds, and stories alive. If not you, then who? 

Okay while I’m still coherent, here’s the thing about fanfiction.

I write fic for three reasons: a) because I want more content, b) because the writer/s did the character/s dirty and I want to fix it, and c) because my head would explode with unborn ideas otherwise.

Missing scenes are a), fix-its are b), and AUs vary depending on the level of canon divergence. You get me.

Now, why do I publish fic? a) spite, and b) need for validation.

Sometimes the lack of validation is discouraging, and I see no point in writing, but you know what? If you take away validation, you create a void; a void that will sooner or later fill with the other reason why I publish: spite.

Yes, spite. Not only at the writers of the medium, but also at the lack of response. Because you know what? I don’t care. I’m gonna subject the internet to my writing whether you want it or not. If I get comments, great. If not, fuck it. I’m gonna do it anyway not for you, but for myself.

Don’t like what I write? Hit the keyboard and write something better. Come on, I’ll wait with bated breath. Fill this tag with content and then, maybe then, I will finally chill the fuck out. (I probably won’t.)

I write because if not me, then who? I publish because if not me, then who? It doesn’t matter how many kudos, hits, or replies my stuff gets - I’m gonna keep writing until I’m no longer physically able to. If not for this fandom, then for another. I was lucky enough to be born with working hands and Azathoth knows that I’m gonna use them whether you like it or not. You do? Great! You don’t? Tough luck.

I don’t care that my stuff doesn’t get any comments, or the views are only in the double digits, or that I barely get any kudos. I don’t care. I wasn’t put on this planet to entertain; I was put here to write, and that’s what I’m gonna do.

Dissidia NT Free Edition

So I decided to try Dissidia NT’s free edition and it’s no 012 from the PSP era .., however, I am having fun with two of the free characters this week. Sephiroth and Noctis. I’m having a blast and considering buying those two. However, seeing how I was with 012 and mained Sephiroth, Cloud, Tifa, Yuna, Lightning, Zidane, and Onion Knight I might just buy the game. 

Now if this game had Ardyn. There is hope! XIV received a villain. Now if they added Caius instead of Snow for the villain spot for FFXIII my dream team would be complete of Sephiroth, Ardyn, and Caius.

Do you have a picture of Cloud Strife with the Jenova eyes in a full body image for the iPhone X? If not is there any way you could make one? You have one I think but it doesn’t fill the screen. My name is Maggie. I’m not sure how you can message me back since I don’t have a Tumblr account.

I don’t have a full body one of Cloud with Jenova eyes. However, it shouldn’t too hard to edit one to the size you need for an iPhone X. I only need to find the sizes and edit it to match. You can check on my own Tumblr page to download the resized picture. Only give me a few days because my personal life leaves little room for fan-edits or photoshop atm.
