when a character is written inconsistently because nobody thought about it that hard and you're like it's time for me to get in there.. and think about it that hard
just saw a post about how a forum proves university student protests and complaints ARE getting shit done. I don't mean to be a downer, but forums are literally one of the #1 ways bureaucracies of all kinds buy time and divert activist attention. "come to our echoey wooden room to feel special and heard" is from like the original playbook.
fandom tumblr was another casualty of streaming services. we used to be on here posting about the episodes that were coming out weekly and posting gifs and writing insane shit about the tv shows we liked. now a new season of a show will drop and we’ll talk about it for a week. two weeks tops. and then that show will leave collectively conscious for 1+ year till the next season drops. there’s a reason succession sundays was a blast on here
"ugh i hate when people say '[x career] here!'" look, i wouldn't do it either, and it bugs me when this is said only for me to get bad advice, but also piss off edgelord.
unsung benefit i think a lot of ppl are sleeping on with using the public library is that i think its a great replacement for the dopamine hit some ppl get from online shopping. it kind of fills that niche of reserving something that you then get to anticipate the arrival of and enjoy when it arrives, but without like, the waste and the money.
I was talking to someone about topping and bottoming and how it is not the same thing as dom and sub. Ended it by saying, "Idk it's mainly used by cis-het gays."
Tbh the problem with ship wars is that everyone tries to find a moral high ground to prove their ship is superior when actually shipping should be about making two characters kiss like a kid playing with barbie dolls
