So! I was planning on writing a fic for these two for a few days now, but i never really wanted to until i got a sudden boost of motivation and now here i am.

Astreaus x hades fic

Mc died, can hades and astreaus fight for what she had died for, Will they win? And allow gods and titans alike to live among eachother, Or will they lose and let her death be in vain?

Shes dead.

Those are the only words reverberating in Hades' head.

DEAD. DEAD. SHES DEAD.

She died, fighting for something even he, a god, thought would be impossible.

She got so close, so very close, but so caught up in the chaos, fighting for what she thought-

No. What she KNEW was right. And now she's dead. It feels like a sick joke, that somebody he loved so deeply is gone. Him. The God of the Underworld, somebody who guides and protects the dead- loving somebody who he thought against all odds, he would be able protect.

And now he looks at Astraeus, sitting across from him, just as sorrowful and lost as he himself felt.

"We aren't lost," Astraeus says, regarding Hades with a sad, yet hopeful smile. The same silly and boyish smile that he knew she had loved, and that he was learning to love as well, taken over by grief. It's a sight Hades wished to never have witnessed. Not that his face looks much different.

"No," Hades says, smiling back at him, "We're not. We can't be." He sighs, leaning his elbows on his knees.

"For her sake, we won't be," Astraeus says, as if there is no room for argument.

"Yes, for her." He certainly won't get any argument from him.

A few years after.

Life goes on.

After years of fighting for her dream- for titans, gods, monsters and humans to live in harmony- they finally, *finally* do it.

"For her."

Astraeus speaks, so quiet and sincere in the bedroom she and Hades once shared, that even Hades, as perceptive as he is, could barely hear. They did it for her.

"Its funny," Hades says, as they sit on the couch one morning together, holding each other, ('just a friendly comfort,' he tells himself). "That just a few years ago, we were fighting to end each other, and now..." Hades' hand runs soothingly down Astraeus' arm, making his breath hitch. Hades' touch was meant to be comforting, but Astraeus' mind rushes to other places.

"Even in death she brings people together, her heart is truly pure." Astraeus' hand catches Hades' before it can travel any further, stopping him in his tracks and flipping them, so Hades is laying supine against the couch, with Astraeus on top of him. He regards him with that boyish grin, a blush traveling up his neck. "When will we stop with this useless dance? When will we just learn to love each other as she would have wanted?"

Hades' eyes widen, his eyes full of question and just a touch of sadness.

"It's not... that simple." He struggles slightly under his gaze. "We would be seen as clowns, laughing stocks for all of Olympus." Hades' hands rest on Astraeus' hips. "To them... it would be unnatural."

"Would that be so bad?" Astraeus whispers, leaning to press a kiss to his neck, and then to his chest above his heart. "Why should we hide this? I know you feel it too, Hades."

His kisses are so full of love. Soft, and nothing like their first, which had been angry and rough, both of them overcome by grief. No, this time its full of love, so sweet he can almost taste it, right on the tip of his tongue as those kisses travel lower an lower, until he's right where he needs to be. Their kisses turn passionate, Hades spurred on by Astraeus' ministrations as they get lost in each other, no sound other than their love lost in the quiet of their shared bedroom.

They lay with their legs on opposite ends of the bed, head to head as Astraeus presses a soft kiss against his forehead, hair messy from their passions. Hades smiles, so full of love that even HE didn't know he was capable of it, not after what happened.

"For us," he whispers in the morning light of their bedroom.

"For us," Astraeus repeats, and it's as if nothing else had ever felt as right as those words.
