Unexpected!Tale Introductions:

What’s it like to cease to exist? To have all influence in what we call ‘existence’ made null to the ever encompassing void.

Is it to have all recollection of oneself put to naught? Or are the very memories of existing embedded in the very steps ones took… the very SOULS ones met?

Indeed. To truly forget is to change the very fabric of reality itself.

AKA: What if Gaster falling into the Void did more than just make everyone forget?

Okay so I wanted to get out a basic overview of the plot of my au finally!!

So here is some context:

The basic opening premise is that when Gaster fell into the void along with his followers during the core incident, it changed the SOULS of the monsters in their lives.

This is based on the fact that monster souls are weaker than humans and their bodies are made of magic, therefore easier to mold and change (Of course there are some exceptions ;))

For example Undyne’s species is no longer just a fish monster, but based off of the blue lionfish like so:

(Yes Undyne will have glowing stripes)

This also means in my story that her attack patterns are different. For example, her magic spears are like Lion Fish barbs. These have poison that affects the person she hits with it.

Most personalities aren’t changed in the moment, and some are affected more than others, but overtime the smallest difference can change things in rather… unexpected ways.

The reason I made this au is because I really wanted to be creative and fun with it. I wanted to make an au that focuses in depth on many characters!! Hell, even the Dummy from the ruins has a special role in it!

Anyways, I’d just like to invite anyone to ask about my au, because I am dying to show all the ideas I have ^^`

Finished Jest’s redesign!!! The sheer improvement in my art over the past couple of months is just unbelievable to me.

Basic information:

•Jest Sans trains halfheartedly for the Royal Guard. It’s not something he wanted to do, but enjoys messing with Undyne. Besides that’s what his cool brother wants…

•Enjoys light-hearted pranks more than puns. He thinks they are the greater of the two. Funnily enough a good portion of his pranks backfire on himself.

•Struggles in the Shortcut department. Can teleport short distances quickly however (Tends to end with a face-full of snow).

•Although teleporting himself is quite hard, he is quite adept at teleporting objects around. He likes to use this ability to teleport googly eyes on Papyrus (like that one Papyrus face in Undertale)

•Favorite food is A1 sauce. He will drink it straight out the bottle.

•Not taken very seriously, he is just a jest after all…

Okay! So, the results are in for whether to make a side blog for my AU or not!! I’m going to make the blog soon after I post this.

This blog will be now focused more on general art/requests/reblogs. All things related to Unexpected!Tale will be on the side blog (which I will edit in the link to this post when made)

I’m going to use this opportunity to explain the plans I have for my AU while I’m at it! But I will do so under the cut because it’s a LOT.

•Firstly I plan to have this Comic go for three main parts excluding the prologue. I have no script for dialogue but I have a pretty developed timeline for it. My art is not the best but I hope it’s enough to do the story I love justice.

•Secondly you can ask any character in my AU questions! Just be respectful and sfw. Keep in mind the questions asked will not be canon to the comic. There will be times planned in the future for that though!!

•While Sans is an important character to this story it is not just centric on him. I really want to delve into the full plot of my au, and all of the characters are close to my heart.

•This will be a teen and up comic (although I will not enforce this, I trust people know their limits). There will be dark themes addressed in this series. Like: death, manipulation, swearing, abuse etc. I will try to tag for warnings.

•My grammar is not the best, please tell me if I make mistakes! But, please do so constructively.

•I have no upload schedule just yet. I post when I can. I can’t predict my motivation,

•Be respectful please! Don’t misgender Frisk and Chara, as they both go by they/them in this comic. I will not tolerate anything of the sort. Read my Masterpost for more info.
