Having Ivan, Ollie, and Aaron all work together was such a cool idea. I remember when I first heard Ollie's playlist I was extremely shocked to hear about Ivan. I also love to think about Ollie and Aaron’s friendship.

I've been well, school has been a bit exhausting with all the exams but all my hard work is paying off :)

I had a horror movie marathon with my friends recently and we are going to have another one next week but with Disney movies, in solidarity of one of my close friends who has barely seen any of the Disney movies (can you believe that?!).

I'm also super excited to see Geordi’s and Asher’s Springback videos! They are both on my list of favorite characters.

I like to think that Freddy never wants to feel the hopelessness he got from not being able to help Bright (other than turning them) that night on Halloween. It was kinda the catalyst that pushed him to become a healer. It also helps lift the burden on Sam's shoulders, Freddy is Sam’s right hand, always there when Sam needs him.

Bright Eyes uses the boxing ring in a similar way Fred uses healing. They want to make themselves stronger so that whatever force comes and threatens the safety of their new family, Bright Eyes will be more than ready to defend it. You bet your ass will do just about anything to protect their found family, but it's a good thing they have to do it alone since Darlin will be right next to them.

(Bright also might let someone get a lucky hit just to have Frederick's hands on them, attempting to heal them. Bright makes jokes the entire time to distract Freddy from their burning cheeks due to the lack of distance between them)

Oh, yes! I remember your headcanon with Milo, it was so cute! I can't get the idea of Bright Eyes just suddenly appearing out of thin air like cats seem to do. Sometimes they have to purposefully make their footsteps louder to not accidentally scare others. (great for sneak attacks though)

May I present you the idea that has been stuck in my head for 3 weeks?

It starts with Darlin and Bright Eyes having a heart-to-heart. Darling recognizes the flames of anger in Bright’s eyes, it's the same flames they wore when they were younger, but Darlin also recognizes their self-loathing. Darlin realizes that Bright can head down a very dark path the same way they did when they met Quinn and decides they want history to repeat itself. Darlin becomes a pillar of support Bright can rely on and not feel judged whenever they make the slightest mistake.

They would make Such a cute sibling/parental dynamic

I always see Darling and Sam giving a sort of parental/teacher guidance to Frederick and Bright Eyes. While Freddy is close to Sam because both are emotionally mature and doesn't mind talking about their feelings openly, it's hard for Bright Eyes to open up. Something that Darling understand very well. To Darling, it's like seeing a younger version of themselves in Bright Eyes and it worries them. They don't want Bright Eyes to get hurt like they did.

So they try to bond in their own ways - sparring so that Bright Eyes can quickly get used to their new Vampiric body and abilities. Just chilling quietly at the dining table while munching on Freddy's sweat treats or maybe even bringing Bright Eyes along in the next Pack meeting if Sam can't make it just so Bright Eyes can mingle with other people than the men in their currently life.

A Daemon Listener and a Vampire character would be so cool! Both of them have had an old Flame before but got a roughish falling out. So it would be friends to lovers to enemies/strangers to friends and back to lovers. They have to learn how to trust each other again. (they both work for the department?)

Each kid taking after one of their parental/mentor figures is so cute. Imagine Fred trying to follow in Sam’s footsteps and become a healer. Also, how does Darlin bringing Bright to an underground fight place sound? It gives Bright the outlet they need for their frustration while keeping them safer than just randomly picking fights.

Valentine's Love Potion recipe

I just realized that I could've made love potions for Valentines in the apothecary. It's not too late, right? Disclaimer: it's not actually edible, there's fictional ingredients in it. This is just to uh, match the aesthetics of the blog's apothecary setup <3

To make this actually edible, replace Stargrass with a sweet herb or mint (if you like mint), and use rose tea for the rose water. Basically makes a very sweet rose-y syrup that you can drizzle on pancakes or waffles!

Recipe to a Love Potion - leave the person you give this to infatuated with you! Only works if they have feelings for you, though. It just enhances their attraction towards you by a little.

A single rose blossom collected under a full moon

5 tablespoons of honey! Any type will do - older honey yields a stronger, deeper aroma and taste

1/2 cup of dew water collected at sunrise

2 blades of Stargrass, crushed and ground in a mortar and pestle

strawberries for colour and taste - as many as you desire

Instructions:

pour the collected dew water into a small cauldron.

kiss the heart of the rose, and place it in the cauldron. Water should cover the rose.

drizzle honey around the rose, and sprinkle the crushed Stargrass into the cauldron.

light a small fire and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally until the honey and Stargrass have been dissolved and incorporated. Mixture should be thickened to a syrup-like state.

remove the rose. It should be covered in syrup. Leave aside to cool.

dice the strawberries and crush for juice. Strain out the seeds and save for later.

drizzle the strawberry juice into the potion. Do not stir!

pour the potion into a vial. The mixture should have swirls of strawberry juice in it.

leave to cool on a rack.

when the rose is cooled, crush the crystallized blossom in the mortar into a fine powder.

Sprinkle a pinch into the potion and cork the vial.

Give to whomever your heart desires!

The idea stems from making your own syrups/candies, it's a pretty simple concept that we Canadians do almost every year if there's sufficient amount of snow! Maple Taffies, ever heard of them?

Boil maple syrup with sugar until it thickens, and pour it on the snow to cool and harden. Then, right before it's about to become completely solid, take a popsicle stick and roll it up into a lollipop-type of thing! Sticks horribly to your teeth, but hey, more candy to save for later :D

instead of making a Love Candy though (that would be very interesting, I'd love to do something about that) I thought love potions, yes, apothecary, yes, valentines, yeah, then totally forgot about it because I didn't write it down immediately :p So here it is, valentine's content, 4 days after valentines. To justify my tardiness, there was not a full moon until 2 nights ago, so the rose wouldn't have worked as well. Currently in love with the concept of Bright Eyes and Huxley becoming friends.

Huxley being used to Bright Eyes spitfire attitude because of Damien and worming his way into making the reserved vampire his friend.

Bright Eyes doesn't know at what point they started to become fond of the earth elemental but they're glad to have him as their friend.

Bright Eyes has Huxley saved as ‘Mr. 69’ on their phone, whenever Sam catches a glimpse of the contact he grimaces and tries not to think what his kid is up to.

Today's thoughts- Yandere Quinn and Bright?

Not looking to get crucified or anything- but just... Think... Bout how maybe Bright could have caught his eye. Bright is a bit of a wild child, free spirited, reckless. Who else does he know have these traits?

Darlin.

Boiled down to it, they're kind of similar to Darlin, minus the whole revenge after he hurt Darlin's unempowered friend thing. Quinn may just have a type. And since they failed with Darlin...

So think about how maybe, just maybe, he wasn't just hanging around wonderworld, but instead knew they would be exploring around that night.

Think about how maybe he's the one that brought it to their attention. The one to put the idea into Bright's head to go explore wonderworld. Maybe he had intended for that night to be the night he takes his little mouse for himself. It was already well established in the empowered community in Dahlia that wonderworld was Solaire clan property. It was vampire sanctuary- so if he disguises himself well enough, no one would notice him- and later, when they realise Bright was gone and traced their disappearance to Wonderworld, they would blame it on a vampire going rogue in the largest vampire clan around, rather than him. They may figure ut out eventually, find traces of him, but by then he would be long gone with them. It was going to be perfect.

But he didnt expect Freddy to tag along. At first he thought maybe the creepiness of the park and the unsettling stories around it would scare Freddy away, so he could take his little mouse in peace. From his observations, Frederick was something of a scardy cat. But then he doesnt leave.

How dare he cling onto his little mouse like that? He was but a weak coward, and Bright had the makings of a great and powerful being, all they needed was a bit of training. And how dare he try to disrupt his plan?

When he attacked, he wanted to go after Frederick first. To punish him for trying to ruin his plans. But then his little mouse started to run and... Well, he can't have that! So he deals with Bright, and leaves them bleeding out so he could go back to dealing with Frederick. He fully intended to kill Freddy, before he goes back to his prize, the human that would be close enough to death that he could turn them. He may even be able to use Frederick against Bright, when needed, and when the time comes, he would be able to show Darlin his new masterpeice. He loomed forwards to seeing how Darlin would react to this.

He was so close to his goal... But Sam turned up.

And now Darlin was in town too.
