I’m gonna be doing this raffle in a few minutes <3 at the same time, I’m raising funds to help my parents with medical bills
Whether or not the goal is 100% reached, I will still be helping them with my savings <3
so No worries about not being able to donate, guys! It’s a matter that can still be handled 🙏

Happy Pokemon Mystery Dungeon community day, loves!! Over the past few months, I’ve been accepting orders from people to draw their PMD OCs in 🌈 Pride-colored scarfs and other accessories. PMD’s stories are full of love, warmth, and trust! A welcoming place for everyone.

Dear Typhon the Typhlosion: You will meet people who hate you because of what you look like, not because of who you are. But you aren’t the monster they say you are.
Keep your chin up, Typh.

Just thought I’d right this in case anyone found it interesting —I promise it’s not as corporate as you think lol:
Recently I was at an internship where we got to talk with people from trades and construction. During this time one of the questions that came up was about how modern buildings are constructed and their quality of architecture. —That is, that so much is pre-fabricated off site “like Lego” compared to yesteryear.
One of the engineers admitted that they loved older architecture, and pointed out that one of the major problems they’re facing is not just a lack of workers in the trades —but a lack of generational skill; the workers that are retiring are not only being replaced slower than they’re leaving, but they’re not passing on their knowledge to new tradesmen. Hence, it is increasingly difficult and expensive to, as one example was given “find people to work on plasterwork” and the like. There are no longer enough people in that trade with the right experience to do it.
—Now that’s not the only reason of course, for example: one of the other major reasons for pre-fabrication is that it’s just that much easier (and of course, cheaper) to construct a panel of a wall in controlled, indoor conditions than it is on a loud, crowded worksite (where the majority of the ground is either filled with machines, or mud and gravel).
But you combined with the lack of experienced workers, this creates a difficult situation when it comes to good, quality architecture that we all know and love.
Hope you found this insightful.
(This is all entirely of my own opinion, and not a reflection of anyone I have spoken to, nor the people employing me/that I’m shadowing with.)

I was at the Teachers Rally on the weekend @ Queen's Park. I met a lot of very nice people on the weekend who raised many issues. The question I have still is this: Is the system as bad as they claim it is. Ontario spends more on education than any other province. However, a good teacher is worth their weight in gold.

IIRC, it would be several decades until women became regular operators on the TTC network (1980's I believe, according to this City of Toronto Source) --They were temporary workers during the wartime because of a shortage of men.
--I am nonetheless glad to find that they have stayed for good this time.

Year 2. Day 58.
Tumblr media
This is what streetcars used to look like in Toronto: huge, lumbering, completely inaccessible, and loud.
The Toronto streetcar network is kind of a last-minute miracle. Cities all over North America used to have streetcar networks, and then these tracks started getting torn up and the transit systems replaced with buses, and in many places the buses then got replaced with nothing.
This is, in fact, a major plot point in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?.
Toronto's public space activists rallied around the streetcar here, though, and the downtown core's street level transit is now divided into two kinds of vehicles: overcrowded slow infrquent bullshit, and streetcars.
Sometime in year one (and I will happily admit I'm too lazy to search) I drew one of the new streetcars. They're huge, they have a lot more seating, and there's an accordion in the middle. I like them a lot more, but you gotta hand it to the CLRV. Without it, I'd be stuck on a goddamn bus.
By the way: I put that error in just for you.

Just a Glacie in a comfy hoodie. Needed something super indulgent and pallet-cleansing to counter all the stress and anxiety this year.
