Since the untimely passing of Philip Seymour Hoffman in 2014, are the unicorns down to one known enemy (Chupacabra) or have others filled the void?
Excellent question! We did indeed mourn the passing of our beloved nemesis. Presently, El Chupacabra remains the only sworn enemy, but the Chimera has been getting on our nerves a lot lately...

Hi Jessica, I am an instructor at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. I am really huge fan of your book and would like use it as a basis for a free online course. What do you think?
Greetings! My apologies for the delay in response. I’m not Tumblr literate and *just today* found the link where my messages dwell. <;-)

Hi....you guys made a post about me around 2011-12ish. I am Rylie Pizzola, the girl who saved her mother’s life in Herlong.
Hi Rylie! What a delight to hear from you! You did amazing work saving your mom. Do you still have your pink unicorn? <:-) Here’s the direct link to the post: http://unicornomics.tumblr.com/post/49822157263/fire-department-learns-important-unicorn-less

Where can you find unicorns? New illustrated search-&-find book provides some answers!
Can you find the 7 unicorns in the picture above? (Not in the blue box, cheater!) Paul Moran has released a book full of these whimsical scenes, and we’re enamored! Where’s the Unicorn? invites the reader to wrangle in these renegade creatures in settings as diverse as a beach and film premiere, and even while sightseeing! We admit that last one is a bit far-fetched, since anywhere unicorns go they are the sight to see. <:-)

Assassin’s Creed makes our dreams come true! Unicorn-riding dreams, not assassin dreams. (via @gamesradar)
Unicorns seem to find their way into everything - fashion, food, and even Yankees games. They’re like big and glittertastic rats. But welcome rats. Like the kind people keep as pets. So probably not all that much like rats.
Either way, it should come as no surprise that unicorns are in the Assassin’s Creed video game canon, and that you can now ride one. We aren’t going to tell you how to do it - click on the photo above to go to the full story and watch the video. And we won’t remark on the jarring juxtaposition of a unicorn galloping through ancient Egypt being ridden by a warmongering dude. What we will mention is that the unicorn shows some artistic aptitude with its hooves drawing rainbowrific pictures in the air! The one above looks just like an inflatable waving tube guy. Keep on creating, horned Rembrandt!

Unicorns add a touch of enchantment to a majestic wheelchariot from @magicwheelchair! For Halloween, Maddie Holt got a fabulous wish granted: the greatest costume ever! Magic Wheelchair, an innovative nonprofit, created this extravaganza for the 5-year-old, who has Zellweger Syndrome and is deaf and blind. With a wide variety of textiles and even a functional bubble machine, Maddie was able to truly feel like a magical being.

Robot Unicorn Attack returns...and diversifies! Evidence of Unicornomics principles at work! (via @kotaku) Whether you’re a fan of the 2010 video game or its revitalization of Erasure’s “Always”, you’ll likely be delighted to hear there is a new version - and there are a lot more opportunities available to you. Kotaku gives a great rundown (or prancedown) of the update, entitled Robot Unicorn Attack Forever, but our favorite part is that you can have a stable of robot unicorns! Yes, you can finally achieve your futuristic dream of becoming a robot unicorn farmer!

A “unicorn” lends its magic to sell a 1998 Subaru on Craigslist. The Big 3 automakers could learn a lot from the outside-the-box advertising of this Subaru Legacy on Craigslist. Not just the fancy font that says the car is for sale - which it is, or was - and not just the original soundtrack, but also the fabulous wardrobe. Thank you, unicorn and fuzzy Batman(?): 4 wheels and 3 hubcaps have never looked so good.

This is what happens when your hair gets jealous of your drink. Maybe you didn’t taste Starbucks’ Unicorn Frappuccino before it sold out. But, thanks to Kelly O'Leary-Woodford at Sapphire Hair Lounge in Winnipeg, you can still commemorate its vivid colors through this whimsical style! Just stick a green straw in it, and you’re done. But be warned - according to barista reports on Twitter, people are not happy the drink has sold out. So don’t be surprised if you discover a rabid fan trying to sip your hair.

This 8-year-old unicorn researcher knows where to get the most legit unicorn lowdown: Raising Unicorns! According to the incredible Facebook post above, sent in on Twitter by alert unicorn advocate @ClarkLa2, a young student name Gwen wrote a “nonfiction” book about unicorns using facts from our book, Raising Unicorns! We are thrilled to know we have achieved textbook status for this aspiring unicorn farmer. Perhaps we should consider establishing a unicorn university. <:-) Below the post are some excerpts from her stellar report. Seems Gwen has composition skills to match that imagination!

Fans of unicorns & synesthesia, rejoice! Starbucks releases the majestic Unicorn Frappuccino tomorrow, April 19, for one week. We're told it has mango flavoring in it, but we're pretty certain there's a secret ingredient of awesome sauce.

We confess: We forgot to remind you to celebrate unicorns. #BelatedNationalUnicornDay (via @bustle)
April 9 came and went, and there was much fanfare on the internet and in Scotland, a country whose national animal is the unicorn. The latter even had a 7-foot-tall willow sculpture made in honor of the holiday. So, yes, we blew it, but we are making it up to you through sharing the fabulous Lego photo above that links to an article from Bustle of things you can do to celebrate National Unicorn Day. And really, do we need to confine unicorn parties to only one day? That seems antithetical to their very existence. Liberate the unicorn! Celebrate National Unicorn Day every day, unicorn advocates!

Harness the power of the unicorn...to charge your phone!
Perhaps you believe unicorn magic is only relegated to the crafting of fine sweets or granting wishes for the pure of heart. If so, you would be wrong. Because this unicorn can bring your dead cell phone battery back to life! Meet the Unicorn Powerbank, a battery charger for your phone that is much more attractive than your phone. Seriously, why don’t we just have phones that look like this? Can someone get on that for us?

Become a Unicorn Scout! Yes, you get a horn. No, you won’t poop colors. Why does it always come back to that?
This whimsical Kickstarter campaign was started by a mom, but it’s for everyone. Joining the Unicorn Scouts results in unicorn missions that come in the mail and a costume in which you can complete said missions. Let’s all be honest here: Receiving a package like this is the sole reason we check our mailboxes each day.
