The time between Christmas and New Years is slow. The kids grow and learn and test boundaries. Macy and Jameson pray for another baby, yet there are moments when they feel so full they couldn't imagine feeling more love.

Juniper often finds herself draw to her horses at night. Stormy is still too small to ride, but Scout doesn't mind the midnight adventures. Juniper sometimes can't make it to her bed when she returns home, and she ends up asleep by the fire.

Rowan Sheffield was born on a snowy winter night, despite his dramatic entrance he was perfectly healthy and able to return home immediately. Juniper wasn't sold on the idea of a brother; she quite liked the idea of having only sisters. Maybe she would warm up to him as he grew less wiggly and weird looking.

One frigid night, Macy went into labor. It was early, but since she'd been diagnosed with preeclampsia, she knew this was a possibility. Still, this was her first labor in a hospital. Her first two were born at home, caught by her husband. It unnerved her to allow a stranger to see her at her most vulnerable, but it needed to be done for the safety of her child.

The first snowfall of the yead didn't stick, Aspen is still able to enjoy her toys outside and the animals are still running around. Although the air is much cooler, there are still things to be done.

Winter, usually frigid, is filled with growth and warmth on the Sheffield Ranch. Chicks hatch, skills are learned, life goes on.

Surprise! Macy is pregnant again. Despite Jameson's alleged infertility, the pair are expecting their third child. Macy is apprehensive, the ranch takes a lot of time, and they don't make enough money to hire a ranch hand. Jameson, on the other hand, is thrilled!
