Just in case anyone was still following this blog and wondering if I’d continue, I finally did! I wanted to keep the different regions on their own themed blogs, so you can find all avatars of the Kalos region at @kalosavatars

It’s been going for a couple weeks now, but realized I forgot to mention it here! I started a side-blog @kalosavatars where I’m posting avatars of the entire Kalos region! Still working on exporting and formatting them all, so follow it for daily updates~

Unova Avatars Poster Reblog Giveaway!

Title says it all! The first poster came back from the printers, and it is lovely! Since I would not have finished this project without tumblr’s support, I’m giving away the first one I had printed as a way of expressing my appreciation~

RULES:

This was meant to go up much sooner, but a combination of several life disasters, (personal illness, a trip to the dentist, death of a grandparent), understandably knocked it down my priority list. As such, I have not reached a decision on my next project, but will update my main account when I have that nailed down. Thank you everyone for your support, and may the luckiest reblogger win!

The End of Unova Avatars

It’s been a long project, and it’s finally finished! Thank you so much to all my supporters, I would not have stayed on schedule without your love~

I decided a little over half way through the project that the end goal was to make a poster of all the Pokémon of Unova, and I’ve sent off a copy to the printers to see how it turns out. I’ll be doing a give away of some sort after I’m confident in the final product, so don’t unfollow this tumblr just yet~

Incidentally, since I’m new-ish to tumblr, I accidentally set this up as a secondary blog; my main account is @pangotron

(I haven’t put anything on it yet, since I’ve only had time to run this one, but I’ll be sure to announce what my next project is there.)

And just for fun, here’s the wire frames of the vectors files. It’s interesting to see which designs were made of more abstract shapes than others, and shows a little bit into how my brain organizes things.

I’m very pleased with the final posters, and will be sure to post an update later of how the print turned out. If its to my standards, I’d like to open orders anyone interested in the poster designs shown above, with pricing based on wherever I end up ordering prints from. I’m located in the United States, so while I wouldn’t mind shipping internationally, that’d be at the cost of the requester. I’d also like to host a giveaway of one poster as thanks for helping me stay on track, seeing users in my activity feed using my avatars and always getting new followers gave me the motivation I needed to stick with this project through the end~

I’m glad to have this project finished, and will be needing some time to determine what is next. After 174+ designs of squares my brain can’t really think in any other canvas size! During production, I was tempted by ideas for making avatars from the Unova anime to continue this tumblr, or advancing to Kalos, Alola, or revisiting Kanto. But on the other side of Unova’s completion, I think I’ll need to find more inspiration before picking up another huge project like this. I’m also a huge fan of Animal Crossing, Monster Hunter, there’s a lot that could compete for my attention!
