Aspec headcanons under the cut:

He's asexual, and sex-favourable but it fluctuates. He enjoys it for the game, the puzzle of seducing someone and making them feel the things he wants them to feel. It also gives him an ego boost, knowing that he's attractive, and he's wanted. However, he would much rather hold someone in his arms and ask them riddles, although barely anyone wants to do that with him

He's quoiromantic. He has quite low empathy, but if he starts caring about someone then he can get quite empathetic towards them. This combination of caring about someone, and needing to feel loved, makes it hard to distinguish attraction. He's arospec - it's less a feeling of attraction, and more wanting to keep the people who validate him, and feeling fond of them. He also feels a great admiration and want to be close with people who he considers his intellectual equal (ie: Batman. These feelings are definitely not mutual).

He's bi. He's willing to have sex with and date any gender, and he's bi when it comes to tertiary attractions. Strong sensual attraction is combined with him being touch-starved and desperate for physical affection, so if he trusts someone he can be very cuddly. He'll also be physically affectionate with people he knows has feelings for him. He had a squish (platonic crush) on Query and Echo when he first met them (and aesthetic attraction, they're really cool)

i’m not gonna lie fandom alwaysoften feels like an actively hostile environment towards aromanticism. even if it’s not intentional most of the time. like the way everyone jumps towards romantic ships and prioritizes those relationships over everything else and stripping aro coded characters of their aromanticism to be like “normal people”. maybe everyone just needs to slip away just this once from the amanormativity whispering in their ears to kick aros to the curb

Our Planet Week Day 3: Within the trees

I started this in the morning, thinking about some blue tits I'd seen fighting a while back and some blackbirds who were fighting yesterday. I went out to a lake and walked home. At the beginning of the walk, I saw some blue tits fighting, which was a funny coincidence

i pity people who say “yeah it’s nice to see these two characters as friends but their relationship becomes so much more meaningful if you see them as romantic.” how has the dredges of the amanormative world poisoned you this bad? have you never had a friend or wanted a friend who changed your life for the better? or if you do i feel bad for them because of so obviously little you value them

Didn't get chance to do one for Birbruary, but I went up a hill last Sunday and fell in love with Skylarks. My legs are still aching but it was worth it
