sanders sides is the one fandom where you actually kinda don’t want the ship to become canon

forgetting about the content drought thing for a second. i want to talk about creator attitude. the amount of times ive seen “thomas doesnt owe you anything” is CRAZY to me. and the fact that this is perpetuated so much is such a weird toxic fandom culture? the reason im thinking about this specifically is because when you compare to other massive creators like markiplier, he’s constantly mentioning the fact that he owes his audience everything, how he’s so grateful to his fans for giving him the ability and position that he does to create things.

this is so totally opposite everything ive seen in the tss fandom over the years, it’s like his fans owe him for creating things instead of the other way around, despite his fans being the ones who are fully funding his creator lifestyle and everything he does. not to mention the fact that he actively goes after people in his twitter replies?? he went after ME once just for trying to giving posing advice for a photoshoot and then he proceeded to take my advice without crediting after forcing me to delete my replies and private my twitter. literally baffling

i mentioned sanders sides for the first time to my boyfriend and he went "oh i used to love sanders sides! im not caught up though" and just.. baby youre not missing out on much <3

Basically, nobody is happy about Thomas’ latest uploads of Sanders Sides. Because none of it at all relates to the season finale. He’s posted snippets of himself relaxing after an “8 hour script writing session” and we have yet to see any other updates. Today, he posted on his twitter that he’s finished with the script for part 3. So, progress is being made, but at a snails pace. So, understandably, the fan base is getting a bit agitated.

insane. absolutely batshit that ive been gone from this fandom for like what. i left around early 2020??? girl its been almost 3 and a half years and youre telling me the only thing ive missed are ads and photoshoots…..

There was a really cringey anime intro thing that I actually got second hand embarrassment watching. It has all been ads or like 2-4 minute short videos that don't even mean anything. Apparently the finale is 4 parts and I don't even think it's been written yet. So yeah!!!!!!!

this is a callout post for mr sanders. I've been able to edit two full videos totaling 30 minutes of watchable content in 24 hours so why cant he give us 5 minutes of watchable content in over 9 months. this is ridiculous

Patton would treat all the sides like uwu babies and/or patton would find out the sides like stuff that does/doesn't go with their "theme" and force stuff onto them

Virgil mentions a rock band that he likes? "Oh but you're just a baby!! That music is too scary for you, little baby!! Here, listen to this pop song!"

Roman makes realistic looking makeup wounds? "That's too much like remus, little prince!! You probably feel terrible just seeing that makeup!! Here, wear some lipstick!"

Remus likes to make cute pastel art? "But you're the scary intrusive thoughts!! You don't like stuff like that!! Here's some gorey art stuff!"

Janus isn't good at keeping secrets, and just doesn't like them in general? "But they're your whole thing!! You're probably just lying about that!! Here, let me tell you one of mine!"

Oooo yes, I love this idea. And any time one of the others tries to call him out on it, he either says he's just trying to help them do their job better or claims that as their "dad" he obviously knows them and their interests way better than they do. Eventually, it gets to the point where they start hiding these things from him/doing them in secret (maybe with each other instead). If he ends up finding out about that, he throws an absolute fit over it, guilt tripping them to hell and back for "not trusting" him

How Do You Sleep?

Characters: Logan, Remy

Pairing(s): romantic losleep, implied past toxic romantic sleepxiety

Warnings: implied unsympathetic virgil, eye injury mention, implied past abuse, nightmare, and i think that’s it but lemme know if I missed anything!!!!!

Remy awoke with a start. They reached up to hold their injured eye only to realise it wasn’t injured at all.

Right. Nightmare.

They looked over at Virgil, still sleeping soundly. They couldn’t let him know what their nightmare was about. They simply couldn’t.

What would he do if he knew his partner was terrified of him?

They stifled a sob as they remembered how vivid it all was. All too familiar a pain. Their head felt fuzzy and tears blurred their eyes.

Virgil moved and Remy bit back a whimper. They closed their eyes and hoped he wasn’t awake. They knew he was but he had to hope. Virgil hated being woken up.

“Starlight, what’s the matter?” Virgil asked gently, his voice gruff with sleep. An odd nickname coming from—

...Oh. Flashback.

“Did you have another nightmare again?”

Remy silently nodded, feeling ashamed for being so childish.

“I’m sorry, darling. Do you need me to hold you? I’d be more than happy to.”

This was Logan. Logan wouldn’t lie to them. Logan wouldn’t belittle them. Logan wouldn’t hurt them.

“Are you sure?” they asked with a broken voice.

“Love, do you know where you are?”

Remy looked around a bit before answering. “Um... our room?”

“Yes. In our room, in our bed, in our house. Away from all the bad things.”

Remy nodded, a tear slipping down their face.

“Do you need to do a grounding exercise?”

“I’m fine,” Remy replied. “Just... tired... and shaken up. That’s all.”

A pause. “Okay. Would you like to be held?”

Remy took a breath. They tentatively moved closer to Logan and buried their face in his chest as he wrapped his arms around them. Remy couldn’t help but run their fingers across Logan’s stretch marks, smiling slightly to themself as they felt Logan’s warm body.

They drifted off wondering how Virgil could sleep knowing the damage he’d done.
