This time of year, I usually have a lot of flies in my apartment. Not houseflies, but rather the small ones. This year however, I've had very few. I got worried, thinking "has our bug population really become this scarce? And this quickly?"

Turns out that no! It had not! Instead, behind my computer desk, behind the curtains was the culprit.

A tiny li'l guy, just munchin' away on the intruders! And judging by the shedded shells (found at least two), they've been there a while!

I would've caught them and let them out, but they seem comfy there. Besides, I'd have to rearrange half my apartment to reach and they'd just hide behind the hinge. So uuh... Hello new roommate!

Ha! That's great, they're earning their keep and keeping your apartment fly-free. I agree, they're comfy there and definitely don't need to be put outside :)

playing sandbox games with somebody of a much different skill & organizational caliber than you is so funny because i'll come back to the base to see the fully functional farm and resource extraction infrastructure my friend has been building over the last half hour and then i'll tell her about the parallel day that i had (ran and played, bit by spider, saw 2 cows)
