Today I spotted a antique Thonet nr. 14 chair from 1859 for sale for only 45 euro.Michael Thonet was a German-Austrian cabinet maker, known for the invention of bentwood furniture. The basic nr 14. is made from 6 pieces of wood and 6 screws. Over the years Thonet produced more than 50.000.000 chairs. During a boat trip George sr. though of a bbq grill made of the two half-spheres normally used as parts of buoys built in his shop.
