i saw your comment under that post!! and i'm glad you liked it that much :3 (cuz honestly it's still one of my fav drawings i've done as well)... aaand i kinda hate to be a killjoy here but.. i have to admit i wasn't thinking about mervor necessarily when i made it LMAO (in fact, i wasn't really into mervor back then... oh that sweet summer child from the past🥴) so lemme just put some my thoughts out about the general vibe that song gives me.. as a whole s/t tomahawk feels very testosterone-ey in all the worst ways masculinity implies, and especially in that song the lyrics provide a pretty good description of some total unhinged asshole as a protagonist, and i always imagine the setting of some dry-hellishly-hot-dusty desert for that one for some reason. so, a hitchhiking psycho on the loose + a gun in his hand + the heat fueling more insane thoughts + some innocent passerby? that equals to some truuuuly nasty stuff waiting to unfold my friend..🤫
