So hear me out Izumo finally gives Shima a chance

They do all the classic date things. Meet at a coffee shop, go see a movie and get dinner. He even walks her home! But after it doesn’t feel right to Shima so he vents to Rin

It didn’t feel like what he thought a date would it just felt like hanging out with a friend, he didn’t even kiss her goodnight after walking her back to the dorms!!!

So Rin suggests they hang out together like Shima did with Izumo so he can tell if there’s a difference between hanging out as friends or as a date. They both think it’s a great idea.

They meet up for at the same coffee shop and get stuck chatting and enjoy themselves so much they almost miss their time slot for the movie. So they hold hands so they don’t get separated and run to catch it laughing the whole way!

They end up having to go back to Rin’s dorm cuz the restaurant Shima went to before isn’t open that night so he offers to help Rin with the cooking chopping up whatever ingredients the other boy needs. It’s sickly domestic of them.

They sit at the table next to each other as they enjoy their meal they cooked together. Seeing Rin’s blushing face after Shima compliments his cooking skills makes Shima realise something. Rin is Cute. And this fake date feels more real than the one he went on with with Izumo. So while Rin is talking about how to cook pork belly at the correct temperature so it’s both crispy and juicy Shima kisses him squarely on the forehead before his mind can catch up with what he’s doing.

Scientist Rin Au

I’ve had this idea for a while but here we go.

Back when Yukio first betrays the Order and Rin’s heart is unsealed. Instead of showing him his past Mephisto leaves him be.

They return to True Cross and Rin isn’t doing well. His brother had just shot him and betrayed everything their father had taught to them.

At some point he attempts to crush his own heart, because his whole world was turned on its head.

Mephisto finds him and is horrified. Rin is put on suicide watch and moves in with Samuel.

During his healing process he locks himself in a library and reads. Unfortunately he doesn’t know Satan did a similar thing. The Order is rightfully terrified, but Mephisto keeps them at bay.

But due to a recent battle, the Order’s numbers are down. So they elected to reopen Section 13.

Rin sees an opportunity and applies for a job. Over the next year he rises to the top and eventually oversees Section 13 as a whole.

With Shiemi busy being Shiemihaza, and Bon and Koneko busy out in the field, Izumo elected to stay with Rin.

Considering they both have parents who were involved in inhumane experimentations, Izumo seeks closure and Rin is unknowingly making Shirou proud.

They make sure that nothing inhumane is happening there.

Eventually Rin scares Shima into working for the Order full time. He too becomes his lab assistant.
