The Hopeless Timeline
-The Human’s POV-
This is 100th genocide timeline. I’m used to this now. Gaining LV, Becoming stronger, that’s just so fun. I’m standing in the last corridor. There’s only one left in this room. That foolish skeleton. Heh. After I kill him, I’ll be able to eliminate the king, and that idiotic flower.
“Let’s just get to the point, smiley.”
“alright, alright… here we go.”
So predictable. Same attacks, same story, and… SAME MISTAKE. He fell asleep, now’s the chance to end him once again!
”heh, didya really think you would be able-“
”Sleep well, smiley~ heehee…”
“…so, guess that’s it, huh?”
“Cut that out, I’ve heard that a hundred times. You’re so boring now.”
“a hundred times, eh? heheh… You're really kind of a freak, huh?“
I won, again. I left the skeleton behind, and went to kill the king and the flower.
-Chara’s POV-
This again. What kind of freak are they? Hell if I know… This is the 100th time. Aren’t they getting tired of this? I guess they aren’t… Again. Same lines, same attacks, same mistake… He was attacked, again. I’m tired of this. I’m tired of erasing the world. I’m tired of seeing everyone die… …How about I make a change? I went to Sans, he’s not dead yet. Maybe, just maybe… This might work.
“Sans? Can you hear me, Sans?”
“huh? w-who-? wait… a-another human?”
He could hear me! He could even see me!!
“So you can hear me! Anyways, there’s no time for small talk. Sans. Can you do me a favor…?”
“hmm? eh, kiddo. im dying now. im afraid i can't.”
“I’ll help you! I’ll help you get up, please. I’m tired of this genocide. Please…”
“how can i trust you, kid?”
“Alright. I’m Chara. The first fallen human. A spirit that is attached to the human. I have DETERMINATION. So maybe I can help you!”
“there’s not much time to think anyways… ok. what should we do?”
“Sorry for the discomfort from this, but just wait a bit…”
I reached Sans’ soul. Letting it to absorb me. It felt… Weird. Really weird. I’m sorry, Sans…
“ah?! kid, what are you doing-“
I was fully absorbed. My determination and his magic were half-blended, his soul became unstable.
“I’m sorry, Sans… But I had to do this.”
-The Human’s POV-
I killed them all, again. But something was off. Chara didn’t appear. I ignored that, and reset for the 100th time.
-Sans’ POV-
The spirit kiddo, I mean Chara, was absorbed into my soul. As my soul became unstable, I was in a chaos of feelings. And suddenly, the world began to glitch.
“w-what is this?!”
“The human is resetting!”
Everything went black. When I woke up, I was back in Snowdin Town. I thought that Chara disappeared with the resetting. But I was wrong.
“Sans? Can you hear me?”
“?! chara? how are you still here? wait… how am i remembering things?!”
That’s the point, how am I remembering things?! Maybe it’s because of the kid’s determination?
“Sans, I hate to say this, but… The only way to stop the human, is to keep the EXP away from the human, and we can’t make every monster escape, that means… We… WE HAVE TO KILL THEM BEFORE THE HUMAN KILLS THEM.”
“what?! is that really the only way?”
“Yes… I’m sorry, Sans. But we have to do this.”
