As I watch Hacks I continue to wonder if the writers wanted to tell a deep mother-daughter relationship story and wildly missed the mark and veered directly into lesbian fantasy territory or if they're just on a whole other level of complex romantic relationship and/or kink, asking burning questions like "what if your old hot toxic boss was also your mother figure and kind of your equal and you also had a sex dream about her and also you continue to get into extremely homoerotic situations with her and you're her grandson's godmother?"
