➵ aether confessing? part 2 || part 1

The two boys were helping the boss lady’s husband set up their own lantern rite inspired stand, Sabriel stood on one of the benches as he reached up to add a lantern on the line of strings hanging above them,

“ugh, those girls slacking off like always” Sabriel huffed, Aether stood next to him laughing lightly hanging up a lantern as well,

“This should do,” He said as they sat on the bench, the sun was about to go down as the sky started to turn orange, the festival was going to start soon.

Sabriel looked up, relaxing, at last, the week had been so stressful in the group it was nice to take a small break. Aether took the time to really observe the boys features, his fluffy black hair swayed lightly in the soft wind, his piercing blue eyes held the glints of lights off the lanterns above them, the blond’s eyes wandered from his smooth soft cheeks to his thin yet kissable lips-

‘you’re getting too ahead of yourself there aether’ the blond thought as his cheeks lit up, reverting his eyes elsewhere. His gold eyes stopped at two figures behind Sabriel hiding behind the little stand the boss had set up- ‘wait is that-‘ he squinted a little and saw the pair clearly-

‘Mei and Paimon-’ it was obvious Sabriel hasn’t noticed them yet- god what an earful they would’ve gotten from him- Meizhen was appearing to do some sort of hand motion with the paimon floating around like crazy, squinting his eyes a little more as she mouthed the words,

“ask him already !”

Aether immediately turned red as he turned his head away to the side, this got Sabriel's attention,

“hey are you ok? is something wrong,” the blue-eyed boy asked opening his eyes giving the blondie a worried look. Aether glanced back at the hiding pair only to see the two girls smiling wide with their thumbs up-

“DO IT!!”

“uh- actually-“ Sabriel now fully focused on what he had to say nodded his head implying for the boy to continue,

“actually- doyouwanttogotothelanternritetogether?” he rushed out shutting his eyes in embarrassment,

“ha... I'm sorry, could you repeat that? slowly this time” The raven head laughed as the blond shrunk, taking a deep breath, he looked Sabriel in the eyes and spoke with more confidence,

“do you maybe wanna go to the lantern rite festival with me?” Sabriel took a second to process the question then laughed,

“I mean of course, aren’t we all going” a faint slap could be heard from afar but no one noticed- Meizhen and Paimon never knew Sabriel could be this oblivious-

Aether laughed with him a little more awkwardly before taking the black-haired boys hand,

“well I was thinking just the two of us,” He said with a closed eye smile, Sabriel was now beyond lost ‘surely he didn’t mean- no he would never’ His thoughts were running wild,

“Wha- huh-“

“HES ASKING YOU OUT ON A DATE IDIOT” a random voice yelled from out of nowhere, aether smiled as he awaited an answer, to be honest, he was freaking out inside.

I swear you could hear the gears turning in Sabriel’s head as he suddenly turned red as a tomato,

“w-wait actually- you wanna take me out??” Aether nodded getting nervous

“YES- I mean sure if you don’t mind” Sabriel tried to contain his happiness but it was impossible he was almost put into a dreamy state, he couldn’t believe his crush just asked him out, unable to control himself he wrapped his arms around the blond, it seemed he was also super happy as he returned the hug and held Sabriel tight, bringing his head up to face him,

“I wouldn’t have it any other way” he smiled as he pressed a light kiss on the boy’s forehead.

bonus: cheers could be heard in the background a Meizhen and Paimon dance in a circle celebrating the success of their plan, Paimon paused before turning to face the purple-haired girl-

“now time for you and xiao-“

“NO-!”

➵ aether confessing? part 1 || part 2

It was the day of the lantern rite and the traveling group of three and a half laid worn out in their room at the wangshu inn, in a few hours they were going to see the mingxiao lantern be released.

“Awuhhh paimons beat!” the emergency food spoke letting out an exaggerated sigh, Meizhen stood up from the ground and stretched while letting out a noise of satisfaction, she then turned towards the two boys behind her, Aether was sitting on a nearby chair as Sabriel laid on the bed facing the ceiling.

“Come on guys we still need to do the thing for xiao”

“Ughhhh, you just wanna spend time with your boyfriend. You dont even know if he’s going to agree with this” Sabriel grumbled as he rolled around the bed annoyed, Meizhen’s face flushed as she immediately shot back,

“One, he’s not my boyfriend. Second, everyone deserves to see the lantern rite, even a ‘conquerer of demons’ like him should be happy, right Aether?” The purple-haired girl then turned to the blonde for agreement, which he nodded along with,

“Xiao’s done so much for everyone he deserves a somewhat small break, sorry Sabriel but I’d have to agree with Mei on this one” The honorary knight rubbed the back of his neck apologetically as the catalyst grumbled on the bed once more,

“And plus this is sorta a commission from boss lady so we can’t let her down, and maybe…” paimon started sending a sly look at Meizhen,

“Maybe you two could find someone to take to the festival” the two girls gave Aether a smirk as he immediately turned away flushed with red knowing what they meant by that.

“Well yea, I’m taking Aether-” who jumped face now red as a tomato “ and Paimon and you too Mei” Sabriel replied oblivious to the others plan, ‘gee sometimes you’re stupid Sabriel’ Meizhen and Paimon face palmed as Aether visibly sulked in his chair now feeling slightly heartbroken,

“Uhhh yea about that- I was planning on sticking to xiao no matter what he said and if that didn’t work then I was going to find xiangling-” Meizhen nudged the floating figure before nodding over to gloomy Aether,

“Oh, and Paimon was planning on trying all the food stands in Liyue before all the festival specials run out! Ehehe” Paimon said making up a quick lie (although I wouldn’t be surprised if she went through with it) Aether turned to the two in suspicion,

“Xiangling isn’t that the chef girl you said you didn’t have a chance wit-”

“OK! I think we should get going now-” Meizhen interrupted pulling Paimon by her side before walking out the door they both turned to aether one last time,

“good luck” they mouthed, sending him a thumbs up before running out of view. The poor outrider was left with the boy who made his heart go crazy, glaring at the place the two once stood he saw Sabriel get up from the bed in the corner of his eye,

“Well let’s get going since those two lazy asses left the work to us” Sabriel rolled his eyes annoyed at the missed two antics, sensing it wasn’t a good time Aether held his words.

“Yeah let’s get going”

☀︎︎ Hualing and Morax past {oc x zhongli}

qingxin and glaze lilies were her favorite flower, she also loved to sing to them as the god of song- Her voice was like angels from the heavens as she easily used the life in her vocals to help the buds bloom.

but in order to give life, you must take it too, Morax couldn’t stand and watch the god give her life away little by little too puny mortals and plants that will only die due to the change of seasons. Although the title “God” maybe be held over her, she was yet weaker than most gods but she held her spirits strong never letting that simple fact get her down.

“I feel you spend too much time with that bard wannabe, Barbatos” a smooth yet deep voice spoke from behind the distracted woman,

“Ha funny for you to say my dear friend, that ‘bard wannabe’ appreciates my singing for once,” She said as her ruby red lips were pulled into a sly smirk, although she may not look the part, this “nice and sweet” God of song was far from those titles- the only person who knew of her true self was none other than the Geo god Morax, that tiny anemo god Barbatos, and Guizhong the god of dust- knew about her real side, not behind the facade of a “mortal and nature-loving- wouldn’t hurt a fly, weak god” no that was Havrias job.

“I appreciate your songs but not when it drains you of life. We may be gods but that’s doesn’t mean we can’t die either” The stone-cold man sighed resting up against a nearby tree as the woman stood up dusting herself off a bit,

“Strict as always, Morax. I admire your concern but I’m fine, I don’t plan on dying anytime soon you know that” She spoke as her hair flowed in the soft wind her dark black hair went down to her hips as the tips were naturally given a green ombré color (which glowed when she used her powers much like ventis)

she bent down plucking a few of the flowers- ’what’s the point in growing them only to kill them’ thought the geo god- as she turned to look at the taller man, placing the small bouquet in his hands she stood back with a cocky look on her face,

“There now you don’t look so angry all the time- Maybe you get a few gods.. let’s see.. how about Guizhong?” she placed her hand on her chin as laughs escaped her lips upon noticing the reaction she got from the man. He had his eyebrows furrowed in annoyance as it looked like the man was going to pop a vein- the flowers in his hands were close to being crushed, irked at her behavior the God of song could only burst out laughing even more;

‘there it is.. the real you’ Morax thought a small smile on his lips as his annoyance almost went away,

“Aww you should smile more Morax you’ll get ladies for sure!” The ravenette smiled as Rex Lapis felt his cheeks heat up a bit, letting out a cough his usual stone-cold personality returned,

“Never.”

“Awww then… For me at least?” She walked up close to his face with a wide grin on her face it was obvious she was joking around but maybe to him it wasn’t a joke,

you hear a whole bunch of whispering and it sounds like whoever’s tryna kill you is having a argument with the persons they’re with

you’re just like ‘wtf, these are terrible murders’ and open the sliding door only to see

KUROO AND BOKUTO HANGING OVER THE EDGE

while you stand there in shock your doorbell rings and in walks in

AKAASHI AND KENMA??!?!1!!

now your just like ‘WTF?’

akaashi comes over to you holding a plastic bag of goodies and snacks

kenma sits his ass down on your couch like he owns the place playing on his psp mood tho

mind you bokuto and kuroo and still bickering while hangover the edge of your balcony trying to get in, you’re just staring at them with the most dumbfounded faces ever

akaashi comes over and offers you a snack while watching as bokuto uses kuroo’s face as a boost to get over your railing

by the time kuroo’s up he’s just like

“wow thank you soooo much for your hELP! i feel so appreciated! loved how you just stood there while i almost died!”

“why didn’t you come in through the door like nORMAL PEOPLE DO!?”

pretty soon it’s a norm for you , even tho they sometimes come at the most random times l, but sometime they come right when you need it

like one day you got in arguement with your parents (on the phone) and you’re having a breakdown

akaashi gets this ‘feeling’ that’s something’s wrong and drags the 3 with him to you’re house

they comfort and cheer the fuck outta you bc they hate to see you cry

they crash at your place a lot since it’s really just you

study/ helps you with online school bc that got you crying frustration me atm

by now you completely forgot you lived alone bc they basically live with you at this point
