tayuya mocks shikamaru for “wasting a team for just one guy” but on shikamaru’s side, it’s explained why he does that. shikamaru himself says before they leave konoha to go after sound that sasuke is a comrade of the leaf. shikamaru also explains to tayuya why, because it’s his first mission he took and he trusts his comrades, he doesn’t think he is sacrificing them for sasuke. there’s indeed no homosexuality about it, just will of fire mentality. but that doesn’t change what tayuya says because when you apply that to naruto, it’s not the same case as shikamaru.

“is that boy sasuke that important to you?” and the answer to naruto is yes, but not because sasuke is a “brother of the leaf”, the manga shows over and over that it’s not because of that. many characters ask naruto why would he go that far, he’s not wasting a team for one guy, but why would he do all of that for one guy? and then you continue with what tayuya implies after… so you are a homo. someone inside the narrative literally says it’s gay to act like that. “a friend can be important too” doesn’t work for naruto and sasuke’s relationship, because the homosexuality is textually supported inside the story.

it is 2024, there is no sequel, naruto and sasuke travel together and change the system using their bond as a concept and they're happy 😌 (obviously Kurama is alive too)

Even if the words are never said, Johnny and Gyro love each other. Whether it's platonic or romantic is up to interpretation but you cannot deny they love each other. We witness that love story and how it affects both of them and how they develop during the Steel Ball Run, with Johnny taking that love with him after the end of the story.

And my favorite ways this is shown is not just in the big scenes like when they save each other and sacrifice for each other, but in the small moments and the moments after these big scenes. When we get to see them interacting outside the main action, when we sit with them and take a breath too, the subtle body language of closeness they develop as time passes. These are the scenes that really highlight the love these two have for each other and place narrative importance on it.

I love details so here are a few of them:

For the poses: Madara is forcing Hashirama to look at him while Sasuke is refusing to look at Naruto. And Kakashi's pose is very unstable, meaning he's trusting Obito not to drop him.

The red accesories are placed where they have hurt each other (Madara's is the red rose).

The backgrounds are all meaningful places: Madara and Hashirama in a battlefield, Kakashi and Obito in Kamui and Naruto and Sasuke in the Valley of the end.
