We had a great release party the night after Short Run at Mount Analog! Photos of the crew, and of me in the tub.

It’s been a while! Some updates: I got stickers made. The above designs are really nice quality screen printed stickers. I am happy to have them available.
Also, I got into Short Run again this year! I’ll be tabling in November and I’ll have a new book. Stay tuned for more updates. I am very excited about it.

What is your favorite zine of the moment?
My favorite zines of the moment are the Hey Lady collaborations put together by Regina Schilling. I was super stoked to discover them. She features some amazing artists, the style is superb, and they come with a button!
What do you like about Olympia, or if you’ve never been, what are you most looking forward to experiencing outside the fest?
I haven’t been to the city of Olympia for a few years. I am looking forward to stopping in to get a slice of Old School Pizza and seeing my niece and her family.
What makes your zines recognizably yours?
My work is recognizable because my drawings have a fluid, maybe messy style. I often have reoccurring themes of feminism and plant power/mysticism. Humor and playfulness are often my building blocks but I sometimes acknowledge tragedy.
What motivates you to finish a zine?
I’m motivated to finish a zine or comic because having a book to share with others is so deeply satisfying. I am addicted to the whole process, I’ve been making books of different kinds for about 10 years. I have made great friends along the way and that in itself has been worth powering through the creative process.
What is your weather prediction for this year’s fest?
The weather for the fest this year will be reminiscent of fall in every way. I expect the air to smell of decomposing leaves and the north wind.
What workshop are you the most stoked about?
I want to attend the “Disability and Zines” and “How to Win at Zining: Advice from the Pros” most!
