Nüwa is a member of the Court, so she was the Sunlight Brothers' manager. And a good friend.

So when MK lost control and shifted into a demonic form, Nüwa couldn't look at him. Not because of what he was, but because of the promise she'd failed to keep to Wukong.

His boy was supposed to be free from the Lady, from Demons. Instead he had inevitably become one and was unintentionally destroying the Honmoon. She never felt ashamed of the boy; She felt as if he was her duty. Her purpose. Her promise.

And she had failed.

Macaque has always found himself on thin ice with the Lady, but after feeling a spark of hope? She reminds him of her power, of her influence, of the fact he always has to watch behind his shoulder.

She taunts him, calling him Six Ears and nothing more. A dig at his difference, at his usefulness.

Okay obviously I can't go with romantic tropes, but there are other ways of having fun tropes 😈

For now I'm just revealing that Mei (and lowkey Red Son) legitimately think that the Saja Boys are really cool and have interesting concepts. But they have to (try) squashing down that admiration for obvious reasons 🥲

Everyone's roles in the band:

Macaque- The Spotlight

Xiangliu- The Charmer

Peng- The Sass

Azure- The Hunk

Yellow Tusk- The Booksmarts

Macaque wants to become as apathetic as he pretends to be. Maybe then Her voice would stop haunting him so easily...

Xiangliu enjoys luring the masses to a chaotic end. He enjoys hiding his true nature, ensnaring fans with a simple grin as the world turns upside down.

Azure believes LBD when she claims to want what's best for the world. He believes in her "mission" of saving all of these souls, and his righteousness is easily mislead. He may seem like just another soldier, but he is just as cunning as any other demon.

Peng does not want to be in the band. The only reason they're there is because Azure is, and they firmly trust his mission in saving souls. After all, who doesn't like heroes in gleaming gold? Too bad they can't keep their tongue from lashing out without a second thought.

Yellow Tusk knows that LBD is keeping them in the dark. And he knows Macaque is after personal gain, as well as being well aware of Xianliu's interest in disarray. But he trusts Azure, and if that means turning a blind eye despite his intelligence highlighting suspicions...then he will turn away.

ANYWHO!! Tang suits Bobby so well it's honestly pretty sweet. Like yeah, the guy can be a slacker, but he always does his best to act as support for those he cares for. Tang tries his best even when he lacks the abilities to do as told, because he always aims to help his loved ones. Also I can totally see Tang yelling at people "MY KIDS SING WHEN THEY WANT!!" just to full-on defend the trio lol

I also firmly believe Tang would know anything and (almost) everything about everyone in the industry... And that Red Son wears contacts and covers his scar up with makeup when on stage like how the girls cover up injuries in the movie

How is she supposed to look at him, knowing that he may die for a purpose given to him since birth? It is easier for Nüwa to look away, to not see what has become of the little boy she raised.

Pigsy and Sandy are hinted to having been in a band, pkus Pigsy's vocals are HEAVENLY how could I NOT make them past Demon Hunters?!

Also Wukong gets Dead Mother privileges lmao, and MK is marked because Wukong was marked! Only Nüwa knew this, and made sure Wukong could take his secret to the grave.
