yesterday, line 12 of the Mexico City subway collapsed, 23 people have been found dead, 65 people have been hospitalized and there are some that have not yet been found.

this was not an accident, it was a negligence, the authorities had been notified about the conditions of the structure of the subway was located, however, they decided to avoid it and ignore the situation.

and now thanks to them, many people who were just tired of working and trying to get home are missing or even worse, dead. we as mexicans demand a fair trial. because politicians are always absolved of their crimes and the victims of their negligence deserve justice.

Danu (dan-noo) is a primordial goddess of Ireland, rivers, fertility and the mother of the Tuatha de Danann (translates to children of Dana), who are the supernatural race of Ancient Ireland made up of gods, druids, great healers and faeries. The goddess is found throughout other Celtic tribes and goes by names such as Dana, Ana or Anu and traces of her can be found in even Indian culture. The name Danu means “to flow” which coinsides with her status as a river goddess. Her name was given to the Danube River, a great river that runs through Eastern Europe and it is believed she may be the personification of that river. She associated with the elemenatal kingdom, divine magic and alchemy as well. It is seen throughout the Celtic practice that water represents knowledge and inspiration and her alternate name Dana meaning “knowledge”, so it is inferred she is associated with ancient wisdom. Some also consider her a patroness of sailors and fishermen. 

Danu is rarely seen in any Celtic stories we know of today and there isn’t much information on her. Some sources consider her the birth mother of the Tuatha de Danann and others say that she had just nurtured them and taught them ancient wisdom and practice. 

The Pan-Celtic Creation Story

Most cultures have some sort of creation story explaining the origins of Earth and some pieces have been put together to reconstruct the Celtic tale of creation. It begins with the Great Void, before anything was created. From that Void the very first two gods Donn and Danu were created. The Void had created them to be companions, so the first two gods had become inseperable. Danu had become preganant by Donn and gave birth to many children known as the Formoraig,  with 3 of them being giants by the names of Briain, Iuchar and Iuchabar. But their children were trapped between their parents and wouldn’t be able to survive. With an attempt to escape their entrapment, Briain took his sword and cut his father Donn into nine pieces. Danu loved her companion dearly so she began crying. Her tears caused a great flood of the Earth and  washed away her children and husband. Danu’s tears were known as the “Waters of Heaven” and when mixed with Donn’s blood, became the great seas. The pieces of Donn’s body became key elements in nature; his head became the sky, his brain became the clouds, his face became the Sun, his mind became the moon, his bones became the stones and his breath became the wind. Through her tears, Danu had seen a seed fall to the Earth and she recognized that Donn was in them, but she began to cry again. Her tears fertilized the earth that had once been Donn’s body, allowing the seed to grow into a massive oak tree called Eochaidh.Two acorns fell from the Oak tree and with the tears of Danu, it gave rise to the Nemed who are also known as the Tuatha De Dannan after Danu nurtured them.

If your polls are still open, you can still change things.

Don’t let a strong summer showing in the media dissuade you. You still have to show up in November. It does matter. If people see their candidate winning and decide that they don’t have to show up and be heard, there is a chance the other side will rally. You have to participate. No matter what.
