Character design of Ambarussa: final clean design / design sketches / initial concept sketch

since they’re the youngest i wanted to make a design that was round/fun and reflected a sense of endearment; this is implied through the young green-leaf circlet contrasting strongly with their hair, which is tucked into their vest to create a rounded-out look.

the design is finished by an eagle-inspired look with unsaturated colours (so as to not draw attention away from their hair) and a feather-like design of their cloaks and gloves.

the birthmarks under their eyes are a “tear-track” design, a reflection of the turmoil and despair that their later actions would bring to others and themselves.

also freckles because why not, they’re cute.

Today's Adorable Thought: Maybe slightly tipsy after a get-together, Fingon wants to give Maedhros a kiss.

Maedhros the Tall is, of course, very tall; Fingon, however, isn't exactly renowned for his height.

Cue Fingon having to jump, looping his arms around Maedhros's neck and hanging from him as he kisses him sweetly but sloppily; and cue Maedhros chuckling fondly, securing his arms around Fingon, returning that kiss with all the love in his heart.
