I made this a long time ago and was very nervous about posting it to Tumblr. I can’t really think of a good caption~ everything I wanted to say is in the little blurb at the beginning.

Would you rather be a heartbroken piece of shit who lives as a victim of nostalgia after losing everything in love or be with a narcissist who doesn't value,respect or understand you and treats you as worse than the ordinary?

Uh, are you good? This question seems a bit more hostile than the last one. I didn't think you had a problem with how I answered the last question from your response, but I could be mistaken.

Do you believe in true love,soulmates,good ppl and happy ending?if so how would you like to persuade those who don't believe this world to be a good place to live or even view it as a paradox of unexpected tragedies?

I'm just gonna start by saying this is probably not the answer you were expecting or want to hear, but its the best answer I have. I'm not the most philosophical person out there, nor am I the best at persuading people to do anything. I just live my life, doing the best I can with the cards I'm dealt.

Putting this under a read more because HOO BOY, its a long one.

In truth, I don't think real life is similar to a movie in that there are happy endings. Even if you do get a happy, fairytale ending (I'm not even sure what that would look like to you), you do still have to wake up the next morning, and the next. So on and so forth. And some of those days are gonna be great, some of them are gonna suck. But most are gonna be ordinary, boring days.

I have my doubts on both true love and soulmates. Maybe because I live in a culture where both of those are attributed to romantic partners that would supposedly "complete" you. You are already a whole person, there isn't a destined other half out there that you need to dedicate your life to finding. If you find someone that you love and want to spend your life with, great! But it shouldn't feel like a requirement for your life to have meaning, y'know?

I do believe that people are generally inclined to try to do good for themselves and others. There's a reason why characters that love being evil for evil's sake are seen as kinda cartoonish. Even if someone is the worst, most heinous person on the planet, they are likely able to either justify their actions or completely ignore the suffering they cause.

As for persuading people who don't believe that the world is good, at times I can sympathize. The world does suck for so many people that when you hear about it its hard to believe that there's good in anything. But to me, believing that the world is nothing but misery is when you get complacent with it. Everything is always gonna suck anyway, so why bother trying? If you believe that there is potential for good, however, that's when you start to fight for it. That's when you know that while its bad now, it can be better.

But also, taking breaks is necessary. I'm sorry to tell you, you are not a machine, and even if you were, machines also need downtime. No one person can save the world, nor does it only take a day to do so. Exhaustion, lack of sleep/food, and an overworked mind make for excellent breeding ground for nihilism and hopelessness. If you're doing so much and all your activism feels like its for nothing, perhaps take a break and focus on something unrelated. A movie, a book, a recipe, a fish tank, it doesn't matter. Just not doom-scrolling, or anything that you know will make you feel worse. Then come back later when you feel refreshed. I would recommend leaving it until the next day, but you may feel different depending on your specific scenario.

I hope that answered your question?? Again I am not the best at these types of queries, or even explaining what I believe in its entirety, so don't take what I say here as gospel. If you asked me this again in a week, my answer might be a bit different. Unfortunately, I am human and am therefor prone to changing my mind based on my observations of the world. This is just what I have right now.

Hello! I'm very proud to bring this update to you all after too long of not updating the website. Basically, I decided to go back to using Blender after a two year hiatus when I found that Blender 4.0 got released with some exciting new features!

With this I go over my process for two of the three 3d artworks I made in Blender over the past few weeks and my reasoning behind what I did to deliver the final artworks. I kinda aimed it toward other 3d artists to see how I go about something like this, but if you're also just a fan of people talking about their hobbies you might get a kick out of this too.

In your view/experience. is the rate of "incompleteness" among webcomics more or less the nature of online personal projects as a whole? Or is there something specific to webcomics like laboriousness, audience expectations, relative medium infancy or whatnot?

well for one thing webcomics has changed significantly in the last ten years. it used to have a much lower barrier for entry, just get a smackjeeves account or set up a website with a wordpress plugin. starting a webcomic when i started my webcomic vs starting a webcomic now are totally different experiences.

so i can only speak to people who started their webcomics roughly ten years ago. and roughly ten years ago a lot of us were a whole lot younger with a lot more time and energy to spend on a comic for free. this part is probably still somewhat true for new artists.

but then you get older. your ideas change. your skill develops and the old stuff isn't as good. or you don't have as much time, you got a day job. unless you're one of like five people on earth your webcomic is not paying your rent. you need to make money. your shoulder hurts. you're 30 now. you're struggling to make updates on time between whatever else makes you happy and what else you need to do to live. you wrote this story when you were 21, you don't relate to it anymore, you have different ideas, you've grown up, your audience has noticeably dropped off from the peak, social media managing is hard, you have to go to work, you're so tired, all the time.

it's a lot of things.

Tried some different compositing with this project to give it more of a vintage video game appearance. Hopefully it still looks more cute than creepy.

After several months of not touching Blender I finally went back to make...this! I don't know who he is. TBH this render is in my files as "little guy" and that's what I've been calling him. I spent WAY too much time on the compositing of this but the result turned out pretty swell.

When you fall too fast down the rabbit hole.

My new comic, dubbed Snow Lake right now, is almost done! With one page left to go I am so looking forward to having this guy on the website. I'll make a post here when its live, and I will also have a timelapse video going up on my youtube of my favorite page. That will be up either the day the comic goes live, or like a day or so afterward. Stay tuned!

Finally, a new comic! It has been a while since I completed a new comic for my website, and now one is up. It is about baking.

Yeah, I have nothing rn. I had zero inspiration for anything this weekend, so this is very last minute before I have to return to work tomorrow. Ye.

Literally drawing this in the last hour before new years. Goodbye 2023, here's to another year of ultimately hanging out with my cat on the floor.

Being real though I don't actually have a Christmas tree in my house this year because I couldn't find a good spot to set up the fake one my parent's got for me last year without my cat chewing on the branches.

So I just made a paper one out of wrapping paper and some ornaments and a star I drew up in clip studio. Added glitter glue and the ornaments printed on card-stock then I slapped that bad boy on the wall with tape and sticky tack.

Anyway Happy Holidays. Was planning on making an actual comic but my back was killing me today from the quilt I'm very slowly completing. Still wanted to make something, so here it is!
