Last hour in work and all capability to concentrate has gone out the window - replaced with excitement, wonder and expectation!!
So the idea of this blog is to get as much information - pictures - reports - prices everything into one place from my trip. And thats exactly what its gonna be... its gonna be jam packed some days.... others maybe quieter

2 Days to go...
So as i started this blog about 3 weeks ago I must share with you where i get some information to prep my trip - as i mentioned before our first trip we had a blast but didnt see that much that vegas has to offer - so for our last trip i researched and researched and researched, and the best single place to get information is from the guys and girls over on Tripadvisor Las Vegas Forum.... there is loads of input - ideas - experience! Which is what you need going to Vegas
Sure Vegas is a trip that you let your hair down and go crazy! Eat, Drink, Gamble, Dance, Drink some more, Eat some more! But there is some really amazing stuff that you will miss if you dont 1) know about it 2)have somewhat of a plan!
Our last trip to Vegas which was in March 15 we probably planned too much and spent all our time running from one place to the other and maybe we done too much... it was still amazing but by the last night we were just in bits.
So 2016 trip - 6 nights - we have a full schedule done out.... but there is a couple of pool days in between the madness...

Groupon
Ok so whether you live in the US or outside you can sign up to groupon - if your outside the US use the zip code of your hotel! Ive done this with so many groupons and its never been an issue
As Mentioned before we booked a Haunted Tour on groupon, we've also booked the Voodoo Zipline @ the Rio, The Banger Brewing Flight of Beers & Caesers Breakfast Buffet. If you refer a friend and just set up Groupon on another email you will get 10 dollars off your first groupon and also 10 dollars credit on your orginal account. Sounds complicated - its not - just save yourself some money! I got Banger Brewing for 16 dollars and it should have been 36!!
Groupon is an amazing tool for deals, also keep an eye on Travelzoo - we got Piff Tickets on that - also LivingSocial apparently has good deals but havent found much on that myself - thats not to say there is nothing on it for you!

3 Days Out
I suppose its trying to tie up everything in work before i finish on friday that ive been really quiet the last few weeks
Hump Day today..... and its been brutal - that feeling of knowing that its so close to Vegas but i still want it to be here now - even though there is still so much to do and prepare.... Just wanna be there
So were leaving Dublin on Saturday Morning - flight out at 7am so were going to head to the airport early to have our ritual pre-flight drinks and chill before the flight. There is one layover but its only a short stop and we will be in Las Vegas McCarron about 1pm.... and then the fun starts

19 Days...
Ok so after a busy weekend i now fall back into the trap of thinking about vegas.... and planning stuff!
After the first time of being in vegas - we got married, stayed for 10 days and had a ball - but on the way to the airport to go home the taxi driver asked us about our trip - did we have fun etc. He started asking us did we visit places - like the canyon, then places throughout vegas.... whilst we done loads of stuff everything that he mentioned we didnt do and almost felt like what the hell did we do for 10 days??? So now our attitude towards it is planning... pick places are must sees and group them together in location and go for it.
So we are staying in the Luxor this time... having previously stayed in MGM, The D & Harrahs - we like the south end of the strip with Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, MGM & NYNY amongst our favourites! Im going to chance the 20 dollar check in trick to see about an upgrade to a pyramid suite :) this would be epic but im not holding my breathe.
As mentioned before we have some things booked already - with Piff & the Haunted tour - also we have KA in the MGM booked through myvegas and also had Cris Angel booked but he cancelled cos he is revamping the show - gutted cos we missed him last visit. But went for Piff when Angel got cancelled. And finally were going to leave Las Vegas for the first time and were doing a tour to the hoover dam - should be fun and will write up on each of them

22 days....
Ok so 3 weeks today will be my last day in work... work is not massively busy today so I'm just gonna research the trip to bits!
Little overview of the trip - Travelling from Ireland on the 23rd of April to Vegas for 6 nights - via Gatwick! Anyone travelling from Ireland to the states reading this... if your layover is in the UK - you do visa when you arrive in Vegas - if its a case your layover is in Atlanta or New York for example - you do visa and passport control in Dublin! This is really handy but feels weird when you arrive in vegas that you actually just walk straight out the door haha! No security etc. We like the Gatwick route cos the layover isnt bad - only like 1 and a half hours where which the american ones they were mostly 3-4 hours - too long!!
So we have been looking at some shows and some tours to do and I will mention over the next couple of weeks what we have already booked but im gonna fill you in on two things that i booked last night....
Haunted Las Vegas Tour - booked this on groupon - $32 dollars and $10 dollar off welcome voucher for 2 tickets - hour long tour of fremont, its got mixed reviews tbh but its only 22 dollars and its only an hour - if its rubbish after 10 mins at least were on fremont! Ok so thats the plan from 7-8pm on Saturday evening.
Piff the Magic Dragon - booked GA tickets for his show in Flamingo - Goldstar have a coupon - get it and call the box office and book your tickets. Great deal and hoping to really enjoy this show as we enjoyed him on Americas Got Talent last year

23 days and counting.....
So i seen someone on tripadvisor do a live trip report via a blog here so i decided to try out tumblr!! I suppose im massively late to the party but here it goes....
In 23 days I get to go to my favourite place in the whole world - Las Vegas!!! Being from ireland its not a trip we can do multiple times a year but this will be our 3rd visit in 4 years :D I got married to my wife on our first visit in Oct 2012!
So little background - obviously married couple from Ireland - both in early 30s. What do we go to vegas for..... Not the gambling.... we only do small amounts but its the shows, food, drink & the strip that we go back for. Vegas is not for everyone but its certainly suits every aspect that we want in a trip!
So over the next few weeks im gonna use this to preview some of the trips, restaurants, shows etc that we will be hitting up on our visit and then ill document the trip whilst over there.
