where now that mirror is nothing more than a wheel of dark thoughts

a mirror can show you a time that once was

that was safer, where you are haunted by the picture that floods your mind

I fear I’ve become the very person I’ve been trying to destroy

Maybe im not who i have thought i was

Maybe I have tried too hard, and in that process

Have become the person who I’ve always hated

Maybe that hatred stemmed from self-reflection

Maybe this has been me the whole time

this has been a quote I’ve been slowly exploring

I feel any quote is really up to interpretation for the individual, and mostly differs between people.

so here’s what I think it means

I read something online, funny enough in an instagram comment that explained what it meant to them, in which I gravitated to.

all dogs go to heaven is supposed to play out in a spiritual way. im not the most spiritual person ever, but, it really made me rethink what I stand for, and how I carry myself through the day-to-day process

all dogs go to heaven is supposed to represent that, a dog, who goes through its life, doesn’t do much. they bring joy to the world by just not doing much. there isn’t a time and a place where a dog does something spectacular in the eyes of morality, yet more-so, is able to just exist and go to heaven when all is said and done.

in reality, we are all so caught up in right and wrong feelings that we forget the basis of just existing. now I strive to always try to leave a good imprint on this earth, but no matter what, at the end of the day I’m not perfect. I make great decisions and shitty ones alike. but this is all is a term of our existence.

so for me, all dogs go to heaven means that I accept that I will make good decisions and I accept that I will make bad decisions. it is a form of existing on this earth

love is the block of life we all want

no matter the genre of love that we wish for

yet

love is the death of the hope that we have

the very means of destruction that kills us

love has a temper and with no rhyme or reason

causes chaotic ideals; a strain on our peace

yet

love is an idea of the something we cherish

a means of freedom for our body to feel

when colors fade and our hope is senile

love will be there to pick up the pieces

yet

the same love we know like an old friend

is the love that returns the darkness that haunts us

a story as old as the time on our clocks

is the same old story we all familiarize with

a story we all know with a different rendition

is the same old story slowly killing us
