As an intersex believer in Christ, I'm absolutely so sick of seeing and hearing so many other believers be so willfully complacent in perpetuating intersexism and interphobia i.e. via people misusing the Bible to say that God only meant to make people that are fully male or fully female and thus push the insinuated notion that intersex folks "weren't meant to exist" and are just accidents in creation but then wanna backpedal in saying "Oh but we'll still be welcoming to you!" 🙄

No. Stop. Just stop.

First of all, who do these bigots think they are?? God creates everyone with intention and with a purpose and He never makes any mistakes or accidents. Just as God intended to make and create endo people who are fully male and endo people that are fully female, God also intended to make intersex people as well. So for these intersexist and interphobic church bigots to say otherwise is not just disrespectful to me and other intersex folks, but more importantly, it's a disrespectful slap in the face of God and His Divine Authority.

Then secondly, people giving subtle insinuations that intersex folks' existence was a "mistake" or a "misstep" that wasn't supposed to happen is a very ugly, hateful and dehumanizing notion to say, along with being intersexist and interphobic. Heck, to imply that anybody wasn't supposed to be born just because they were born different is just an ugly, rotten, horrid and hateful thing to say to anybody in general, and trying to then backpedal in masking and disguising that behind performative niceties and backhanded condescension masquerading as understanding is just patronizing, insulting and manipulative.

And it's the constant embracing and endorsing of right wing conservatism and conservative rhetoric and letting it seep into the church that makes things even worse, considering that conservatism is inherently tied to casteism, colonialism and colonialist eugenics that fuels intersexism and interphobia in the first place. And, considering casteism, eugenicism, colonialism and colonialist eugenics being further tied to racism and white supremacy, more so with its impact on BIPOC intersex folks and intersex believers in Christ that are of color. And unless endo believers acknowledge, address, take accountability for and repent of it and do the personal work to deprogram from and unlearn these ignorant, hateful, illogical and cult fueled biases, the more and more intersex believers in Christ such as myself will find more and more reason to feel unloved, unwanted and unsafe in various church settings and groups and thus, increasingly distrustful of people within church facilities, specifically those that align themselves with conservatism and conservative cult rhetoric.

(Also, this among many other things serves as an indictment of conservatism being a morally, ethically and socially bankrupt psy op and cesspool for ignorance, bigotry, extremism and hypocrisy that helps no one in the long run.

Because Christianity focuses on the purification, sanctification, consecration, edification and transformation of the heart and soul for the sake of centering faith and trust in Christ and pursuing and finding redemption and freedom in the ways of Christ, which actually brings true edification and bares good fruit.

Meanwhile, conservatism fixates on the commodification, commercialization, classification and exploitation of people for the sake of basing everything on works, image and performance at the expense of the heart and soul, prioritizing trust in man made traditions and pursuing conformity and social assimilation in the ways of man, which doesn't edify anybody and is instead unedifying and bares rotten fruit.

But anyways, enough is enough. I'm not gonna settle for backhanded, insulting and hateful intersexist and interphobic rhetoric then masked by empty hollow churchinese or claims of compassion that are meaningless, patronizing, manipulative and superficial. It's time for a change and it's time for us as believers to do better.

We were randomly shot at and many victims fell before our eyes. I almost got shot, but we started running without thinking. Why is Qais suffering from malnutrition in Gaza?

1. The war has destroyed food supplies and markets, making it nearly impossible to find basic nutrition.
