I'm sorry if you've answered this or something like this elsewhere, but watching you talking about spn and destiel has made me want to experience some of this for myself, but like not enough to actually watch all of spn, I only want to be hate crimed a little, so off the top of your head, what would be the best episodes to scratch the itch? just like 3-5ish episodes that really say this is the supernatural experience if that makes sense

five episode spn speedrun to Get The Feel For It (disclaimer: dean’s my favorite character so i’m biased). pick one from each category. i’m putting these episodes from most recommended to least recommended in each category, if you want to know my personal taste. or just watch all of them from one category i’m not the boss of you:

EPISODE THAT ACTUALLY GIVES YOU A FEEL FOR THE OVERALL VIBE WITHOUT NEEDING THE CONTEXT OF WATCHING FIFTEEN FUCKING SEASONS: jus in bello (3x12), lazarus rising (4x1)*, pilot (1x1)

EPISODE THAT MAKES YOU FEEL SHIT**: what is and what should never be (2x20), faith (1x12), all hell breaks loose (2x21-22)

EPISODE THAT IS JUST OFF THE WALL BONKERS WHY DID THEY DO THIS: mystery spot (3x11), changing channels (5x8), yellow fever (4x6), scoobynatural (13x16), the one you’ve been waiting for (12x5), ghostfacers (3x13), LARP and the real girl (8x11)***

EPISODE WITH META CONTENT: the french mistake (6x15), the monster at the end of this book (4x18), fan fiction**** (10x5), the real ghostbusters (5x9)

EPISODE THAT HATECRIMES YOU ACTIVELY: clap your hands if you believe (6x9) is the one you NEED to watch if you want to be hatecrimed but if you want other moments to be hatecrimed SPECIFICALLY off the top of my head we have - sex and violence (4x14), playthings (2x11), the girl with the dungeons and dragons tattoo (7x20) and something wicked (1x18), as well as, if i remember correctly, all of season 8. note that this is a non-exhaustive list.

*watch lazarus rising no matter what because frankly if i don’t say this cas fans will come for me. also it’s really good i just have a weird attachment to jus in bello

Okay, Gen Z, younger millennials, please tell me, are you aware of what the title Ms. means? And how to pronounce it?

Because I just listened to several young 20-somethings pronounce it Miss and talk about how it means you’re not married. And…I’m feeling weird about it, considering that’s the title I use.

(It means my marital status is none of your business. I use it because I’m married but I kept my maiden name so I’m not Mrs. anyone.)

you know you're allowed to reflect on and change your positions/opinions on things, right? every day people double down on some bullshit they said in the past and it blows my mind that people act like that's the only option.

we've all believed things that turn out to be untrue or morally wrong, that's normal and human, and we're all capable of acknowledging our faults and doing better in the future. swallow your fucking pride and start acting better!

I stopped reading DNIs because 90% of the time they were just fucking inscrutable to me. I’d go to somebody’s page and it would be like “DNI if you’re a COSLA apologist,” so then I would Google COSLA and it was just like “Welp, either things are really heating up in the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities fandom or I still have no idea what the fuck this person is talking about.” Or “DNI if you identify as ANFO.” Okay, well, I definitely don’t identify as Ammonium Nitrate/Fuel Oil, but that’s probably not what you meant (although hey, maybe you did; I obviously don’t know enough about your views on chemical compounds to outright dispute that option).” Like, you have my blessing to hate whatever obscure fandom pairing or super niche kink group you want, but just know I am embracing ignorance on this one and will not be looking that shit up. people who use the queue function fill a necessary role in the tumblr ecosystem. they keep posts alive. if u miss a post bc ur entire mutualcule was reblogging it from each other in a 30min span and u were offline, the queue mutual provides u an opportunity to see that post again in 1-8 business days. they put posts in stasis in little cryogenic freezers for u to discover and enjoy later. everyone thank their queue mutuals right now
