I'm going with Adamas for this one considering he's the main character of the book!

How would you describe their personality / aesthetic?

As a journalist, Adamas always had a very inquisitive nature. Ever since he was young, he was curious about the world around him, and he was always full of lingering questions. He finds normal far too boring for his liking, and he gravitates towards what people consider to be weird. His roots are stronger than his brother's, as he wonders about the family tree and what secrets each generation took away with them. He's like a strong warm gust of wind in the sunny summer day that's agog to play with the leaves up in the trees.

What's your favorite thing about them?

His kindness. Adamas has a very quiet and calm demeanor around him, and I find that enticing. He's also extremely kind to everyone around him, and he will protect those he cares about. To be loved by him, it's like being chosen by someone every time. He's very loyal to the bone, and sometimes that gets him in trouble.

Fun facts about them / their creation?

While his brothers went through several name changes in the original drafts, Adamas was the only who remained the same. I knew that I wanted him to be the main character from the beginning. I find other characters to be far too unreliable narrators. They're disasters, but good disasters. Adamas keeps everything very grounded. He's the soul of the family.

Briar Rose - She'd have a general fandom blog and reblog memes and fanart from her favorite fandoms as well as post angsty oneshots about her favorite characters. The character she posts about and reblogs the most is Mizu from Blue Eyed Samurai

Nuetta - Nuetta makes gifs and graphics and aesthetic moodboards. Her blog is very popular. She has a sideblog for fandom reblogs so she can keep track of the art and fics she likes.

Wrenley - Discourse. Reblogs Briar Rose's Mizu oneshots.

Feray - Feray uses pinterest and instagram. She will look at and enjoy tumblr posts reposted to those platforms.

Ysela - Ysela doesn't use social media.

What my OCs would do if they had tumblr:

Parker ~ their blog would be weird, just because the majority of the things they’d post would be vents and the like, but then they’d get scared soon after and delete them because they’re scared of people getting to know them and hating them after so you could swear they post a lot even though their blog is relatively free of original content. Otherwise, they’d post occasional pictures of themself and also reblog every single post of Roksi’s art or Quincey’s music.

Roksi ~ Oh she would be so chaotic. Reblogging everything. Her blog would be impossible to navigate. Most heinous colour scheme ever. Yet she’d probably have loads of followers. Her original posts would mostly be pictures of her art, makeup, or outfits. She would also send loads of asks to people and be so happy to answer them in return. Her main goal would be for her blog to be a safe space for everyone and to make people happy!

Harlyn ~ she wouldn’t post or reblog much, so her blog would be relatively empty, but she would still be silently spectating everyone. Even if you feel like she’s ignoring you, reality is that she’s probably read every single one of your posts. When she does make her own, they’d either be pictures of Roksi and Quincey, or making fun of Parker.

Quincey ~ very aesthetic, very pleasant, very calm. She wouldn’t post for a long time, but her friends would bully into posting videos of her singing and playing guitar, and she’d end up getting loads of followers for her talent, and maybe even start to believe in herself a bit. She’d reblog pretty pictures of the sky. She’d also probably try and use it as a space for activism and for spreading other people’s stories. Plus she’d send loads of positive and kind anons to everyone, but never confirm that it’s her :)

JONATHAN PRATCHETT is an 18 year-old who has spent most of him life running: bouncing between motels, raising a kid 10 years younger, working underground jobs and barely scraping by, and living off-grid with the system breathing down his neck.

But it is inevitable.

Because Jonathan finds himself thrown into an international, government developed sport: SPE2D (Speed, Power, Efficiency x2, Development) under the disguise of harmless entertainment. But beneath the glamour and flashing lights? It’s a machine created to test how far humanity can be pushed … and what it takes to break a human into a program.

And his teammate? Is a prime example of what the institution will do to achieve their goals.

Benjamin rowe, an 18 year old with gaps in his memory and an erased past, raised by the system. He is the perfect experiment: Polished, Composed. Perfect.

A lie.

Because that is not him, that is the program posing as him. The boy swallowed by chrome and code, locked somewhere inside the metal. His smile glitches, he lies, the code makes him talk— but Jonathan sees past the lies, past the Benjamin program; Ben, the boy.

But Jonathan doesn’t have time to save Ben when Milo, the eight year old he has been raising since he was fourteen, exists; and Milo is not just an ordinary boy, no, he is the abandoned son of a powerful politician who wants him back.

Wants him programmed, perfected, and erased.

And Jonathan? Disposed of. They see him as a glitch that should have never existed, a mistake. Jonathan will keep running, keep fighting out of spite, and will burn down the entire platform if it is for Milo.

Because behind the finish line, no one is safe from a boy who lost his trust in the institution years ago.
