Loving the concept of this rp! Would you be open to taking on someone who hasn't been in the rpc for a while? I've been thinking about rejoining and this seems like a good place since it's oc-based :)
Yeah of course! We’d love to have you on, and if you ever need any help with specifics (if you haven’t been around in a bit, tumblr likes to shake things up and make this website basically unusable, so we have to find workarounds) just let us know and we can walk you through some stuff. We can also direct you to some tutorials and how-to’s of navigating around here if you need that.

❝ LIAM KANG IS A 24 YEAR OLD LIFEGUARD AND SWIM COACH, LOOKS A LOT LIKE J JUN, & HE IS ORIGINALLY FROM NORTHRIDGE, CA 🌞
Liam was born an raised in Northridge, California. He was always an expressive and energetic kid, and he always felt loved. Thanks to his parents’ constant support, he and his siblings were active and connected to their community. They were always there in the stands or assembly floor for every event and awards ceremony, and the children always felt that they had a purpose and place in the world.
As part of their usual activities, Liam’s parents sent the three children to swimming lessons every summer. Liam took to it naturally, and the others enjoyed the chance to play around in the pool in the heavy heat. As the kids got older, they aged out of the lessons, opting instead for other activities in the rec center. Liam stuck to it, however, joining the junior swim group and learning how to swim competitively.
When he was in junior high, Liam joined the next division of the swim team at the local parks and recreation center. It was there that he met a group of students that attended his new school. They often invited him to go on surfing trips, and he quickly grew to love it - even if he fell into the water more often than he stood up. His parents weren’t sure about surfing as an activity - it seemed dangerous and they’d heard horror stories about surfers getting hurt in reckless situations. Still, Liam seemed to be level headed and deeply passionate. They let him go on a few trips with friends’ families, but Liam wanted to be more serious about it. When he asked for a board for his birthday, they told him they would look into it - and were shocked at the prices. They made an agreement with him. If Liam could save enough for half of a board, they would let him buy it and practice with his friends in preparation to join a surf club.
He mowed more lawns and did more chores than he felt he had in his life, and a week before his birthday, he had the money he needed to get his board. Liam was over the moon to have his own, and he started practicing when his friends took trips to the beach. He joined a local competitive team, and Liam had another love on his hands.
Liam went on to be the captain of his swim team in high school, as well as entering a few surf competitions. He earned some money as a competitive surfer and got a sponsorship from a local surf shop. When it came time to decide on a college, Liam was worried that his family wouldn’t approve of his future plans. He wasn’t sure that they would take it seriously. Still, he told them of his plans to become a certified swim coach, doing seasonal work to allow for a flexible schedule. His family assumed that he would eventually want to do something bigger, such as coach Olympic athletes, but Liam explained that he just wanted to be comfortable and do what he loved.
Though his siblings teased him at first, the family did what they always did and supported him. Liam went on to get his coaching and lifeguard certifications, and he started seasonal work in his hometown. He worked as a lifeguard in a local waterpark for two years before setting his sights on the beach. With money he’d saved while living with his parents, he moved to Venice Beach and got work as an assistant swim coach. He lifeguards in the summer, between swim lessons at the rec center. Liam still surfs in his free time, and he has aspirations of becoming a huge surfing star, but he’s unsure of his own abilities and the viability as a career. He still fantasizes from time to time that he could surf as a job, but in the meantime, he enjoys is at a hobby and an occasional way to make extra money.

hi there! how are you guys with activity?
Hello! Are you asking about how active we are or how lenient we are with activity? So long as our members show that they’re interested in playing and are active at least in the ooc chat or our plotting chat, we are more than willing to show leniency. We also offer hiatuses for those that need them.

Do you have any banned FCs?
All fcs that could be considered “problematic” are banned, as well with those our members find triggering. We don’t a list with specific names since it would be pretty long so if you have any doubts about a fc, you can message us and we will help you out.

Apparently Tumblr has decided that we are all bots and hit us with an exceeded rate limit error so whenever someone tries to access our application page and submit something, they won’t  be able to see our submit box.
If you’re looking into submitting an application, and let us know and we’ll provide you with a special link where you can submit your stuff while this is solved!

Do you have a specific list of faceclaims you consider "problematic" and would not accept? Just wondering, because people have different views as to who would fall in that category.
We do not since the list would be pretty long. If you want to know if someone is banned, we suggest messaging us off anon so we can discuss it!

❝ DUSTIN GREENE IS A 31 YEAR OLD ANIMAL SHELTER EMPLOYEE AND UBER/LYFT DRIVER, LOOKS A LOT LIKE ADAM DEVINE, & HE IS ORIGINALLY FROM BERKELEY, CA 🌞
TW: alcohol & drug abuse, death, abandonment, car accident
Life is a series of choices. And Dustin has made some very bad ones.
Dustin was born in South Berkeley to a man and a woman who wanted anything else but to be parents. Legally, they had to care for him and his older brother, Christopher, but ultimately the traits for a parent fell unto the eldest who was only thirteen when Dustin was born. Chris fed him, bathed him, took him to school, went to parent-teacher conferences, helped with his homework, taught him how to drive, talked to him about sex and puberty and was Dustin’s only source of a positive role model.
By the time Christopher had turned nineteen and Dustin turned six years old, mom had skipped town and dad left not even two months after that, leaving a child in the hands of a boy that just graduated high school.
As the years progressed, Dustin made it more and more difficult on Christopher. In grade school he would constantly talk back to his teachers and run away from home. In his pre-teens, he would hang out with people to get drunk and smoke weed. In high school, it evolved in him doing harder recreational drugs. Dustin changed girlfriends as often as she changed clothes and every other week he would get into a fight and Christopher would have to go down to make sure he didn’t get expelled from school.
No one taught Christopher how to be a parent but he was there anyway, taking care of the one person he loved more than anything in the world.
That was until Christopher met the love of his life, Mandy, and had a daughter with her; both of the Greene brothers’ lives had changed drastically. No longer was the eldest there to scold him for missing school. No longer could he be responsible to make sure that Dustin ate breakfast, lunch and dinner. No longer was he constantly there to get Dustin out of the messes he got himself in because he was busy taking care of his own child, Millicent.
This taught Dustin to be somewhat independent. When he was sixteen he joined the football team which also taught him discipline and responsibility. And he was good too. He was fast and he was strong. If it wasn’t for his terrible grades (which he did bring up to a 1.7 GPA average in order to make the team) he would be in line for a football scholarship. Much to everyone’s surprise, he graduated high school. No one, not even Dustin, though he’d be able to do it. But Christopher knew.  Aside from the constant drinking and sleeping around, Dustin seemed to finally be on the right track.
Until one night when Christopher and Mandy asked Dustin for a favor. They were in desperate need of a date night and asked Dustin to look after their daughter, who was two years old at the time, for a couple hours while they were out. They both seemed to trust him, and it was only supposed to be for a couple of hours. An hour into their departure, an ex-girlfriend called Dustin invited him to the end of high school rager so they could hook up. He was only supposed to be gone for thirty minutes and his niece was sleeping upstairs. It couldn’t hurt.
While Dustin was gone Christopher and Mandy got a call from a neighbor saying that they could see someone suspicious loitering in front of the house and wondered if they were supposed to have company over. They tried calling Dustin, who was too busy screwing his ex-girlfriend to hear his phone vibrate in his jean pocket. They hurried home in the pouring rain, driving in a car in which the windshield wipers weren’t working.
Ten minutes after he left the party, seeing all the missed calls from Chris, Dustin got the call to inform him that his brother and his girlfriend had died in a car accident on their way back home. They were speeding and thought they saw an animal jump in front of the car and swerved off road.
The drive back to the house was a blur. All he could think about was his niece. And how she lost her parents. The only two people who were supposed to love her unconditionally for the rest of their lives. The house was broken into and the television was stolen as well as his laptop and a bunch of other material items, but he didn’t care. Most importantly, he was just grateful that according to the police Millicent was so sound asleep in her room the burglars didn’t even know she was there. Dustin was by his niece’s side the rest of the night. Watching her sleep peacefully while he sat wide awake, hating himself because there was no one else to blame.
This was entirely his fault.
Millie didn’t really understand what happened to her parents when Dustin told her. The concept of death should have to never cross a toddler’s mind, taking away whatever innocence they have at such a young age. For the next two months Dustin took care of her while social services sorted out her living situation and at the time it only made sense that she didn’t stay with him. He could barely feed or bathe himself, how was he going to take care of a two year old?
One day as he was perusing through his brother’s movie collection so they could watch something together he found a DVD labeled ‘important’ in big bold letters in the Fantasia 2000 case. The contents on the DVD shocked Dustin more than anything.
It was his brother’s will–his version of it. And he wanted his daughter to be raised by Dustin and only him. But why? Dustin beat himself over it for months, just absolutely perplexed that Christopher would choose the most irresponsible person in the world to raise the purest human being to ever exist.
There was only one thing he could do. It was slowly, but surely that Dustin changed his ways, his lifestyle so he could properly take care of Millie. He fed her, he bathed her, helped her with homework and went to the parent-teacher conferences. Anything to be a positive role model for his favorite person.
When Millie was five, an old teacher of Dustin’s who had learned of his situation offered him a job at UCLA as his personal assistant so they packed their bags and headed down to Venice Beach to start a new life. Only a few months after he arrived he found a job at the local animal shelter (totally Millie’s idea). Two years after that, proving he was a responsible and loving guardian, he adopted Millicent so now he was fully legally and financially responsible for her. Now she’s sixteen and she’s a pain, but he couldn’t be been happier. It’s as if he finally has a purpose, finally understands what it meant to contribute to society, and finally able to love someone selflessly.
Dustin has made some very bad choices, but choosing to adopt Millicent definitely isn’t one of them.
