B.El.Ed Full Form and Eligibility

B.El.Ed form is Bachelor of Elementary Education and eligibility is 10+2 with 50% marks for Gen./OBC & 45% marks for SC/ST. (All streams). For those aspiring to teach classes (1-8) B.El.Ed is the ideal course because it trains in teaching primary (1-5) and upper primary (6-8) classes.
For all those who wish to become special education teachers, B.El.Ed is the course because B.El.Ed offers specialization in special education. There is a huge requirement for special education teachers because many students have learning disabilities that require special educators to teach them.
The B.El.Ed course offers professional dignity to primary teachers because it’s a specialized course to teach primary and upper primary classes.
Most reputed Delhi schools mandate the B.El.Ed qualification for their primary classes because these teachers explain concepts through attractive TLMs that appeal to kids.
B.El.Ed is graduation or not
B.El.Ed is a 4 years graduate degree that makes the learner an expert in primary and upper primary teaching. Therefore, B.El.Ed is a graduate degree. Primary teachers should be skilled enough to hold learners in the class; otherwise, children will lose interest and drop out of school.
This requires a specialized course that trains in primary and upper primary teaching–the foundational classes for any child. The B.El.Ed course is ideally suited for girls because they are soft-spoken, who teach kids through storytelling and attractive visual aids.
B.El.Ed Admission 2025
For detailed information about B.El.Ed. admission in 2025, please click the following link.
For all those who enjoy teaching kids, B.El.Ed is the ideal course for them because it’s a specialized course for teaching elementary classes.
The world over, countries are trying to reform their education systems by including future-ready skills like critical thinking, problem solving and communication. This requires specialists who can prepare teaching aids that nurture these skills in learners.
By recruiting professionally qualified elementary teachers, India has significantly reduced its primary class’s school dropout rate to just 1-2%. This is a remarkable achievement because elementary teachers build a firm foundation by generating interest in studies through storytelling and creative visual aids.
That’s why B.El.Ed is the most desired course for elementary teaching because it imparts the skills that engage kids in various educational activities.
B.El.Ed Course Fees
Now after knowing the B.El.Ed full form and eligibility candidates want to know the course fees because fees is an important criterion for shortlisting colleges. Government institutions have subsidized fees compared to self-financing ones because the former receives government grants.

Institution Name Location Tentative Fees in INR
Venkateshwara Group of Institutions Meerut 15000 per year
Shree Dev Vidyapeeth Mahila Mahavidyalaya Bareilly 1 Lakh
Subhadra Devi Mularam Krishak Mahavidyalaya Shahjahanpur 1.12 L

Kanhaiya Lal Vishnu Charan Mahavidyalaya Jalaun 1.40L
Lucknow Degree College Lucknow 1.40 L
Bhagwati College of Education Meerut 1.50 L
Institute of Teacher Education Ghaziabad 1.50 L
The above information has been sourced from the web and may vary. We advise candidates to check fees at individual colleges before taking admission.
The most common entrance exam for B.El.Ed admission is CUET UG (Common University Entrance Test) through which institutions shortlist candidates for the B.El.Ed course.
Most government institutions consider the CUET UG score before short-listing candidates for the B.El.Ed course. While many private ones provide direct admission into the B.El.Ed course, allowing candidates to become primary teachers.
B.El.Ed job salary
There is no dearth of job roles for B.El.Ed graduates because they establish a firm base in the early education years, making them indispensable for primary education.
Most reputed Delhi schools mandate B.El.Ed as an essential qualification for primary teachers–making them highly sought after for elementary education.
After knowing the B.El.Ed. full form and eligibility, the various job roles available for B.El.Ed graduates are:
Primary Teachers
Educational Officer
Content Writer
Student Counselor
Teaching Mentor
Day care centers, creches, Montessori schools, primary schools, Upper Primary schools (6-8), Ed Tech companies, etc hire B.El.Ed teachers because of their expertise in early education teaching.
Some other areas where elementary teachers get hired are:
School
Nursery
Council for school education
Content writing
State education boards
Government care homes
In metro cities working parents are short of time and send their wards to day care centres that take good care of their children. There are many upscale day care centres in these cities that pay well to elementary teachers.
The salaries in different job roles for a B.El.Ed graduate are:
Job Role Average Annual Salary
Primary School Teacher INR 3.4 LPA
Upper Primary School Teacher INR 4.5 LPA
Content Writer INR 5 LPA
