Petition to Make “Layne Staley Day” August 22nd!

Layne spent his whole life trying to help other people. He saved so many of us, and yet, so often he gets overlooked. He deserves to be remembered for more than just his death or his addiction. He was so much more than that. He was kind, and loving, and sensitive. He brought light into the lives of all of the people he met, despite how dark his own life was. Let’s make sure he’s never forgotten. Let’s make sure that his memory and the songs he wrote live on.

Karmic Energy and Inverse Gender Theory

So while I completely understand the logic of Rey housing Anakin’s reincarnated soul ( piloting skills, parental longing, isolated wasteland) I hold firm to the other, Padme, most definitely.

Here’s the thing-I don’t claim to be an expert on metaphysics, or the ways in which our universe continues to churn us into greater ways of being. But I do believe that a soul chooses the human life that will best benefit it’s karmic contract, RATHER than duplicate its previous conditions. Not only that, but temperament, the defining trait of an individual, to me, stays.

Padme was born into privilege, raised comfortably, and ultimately helpless to an area she’d neglected for most of her young life-passionate love. From the start, she senses an inherent need to anchor Anakin, with nothing to aid her but her knack for diplomacy and her compassion. 

It would make sense, therefore, to choose a life less accommodating in an attempt to succeed this time around. Though Rey’s young, younger than Ben, and untrained, she is nonetheless STILL the moral voice of their dynamic. She has a more assured, mature essence that continually tries to help. THAT is reincarnation.

People change after a break-up.

After learning so much about Darla through flashbacks, she seems kind of out of character in season 1. Particularly with her being subservient and even fearful of some other vampires like Luke.

Could someone please..

...write a fan fiction in which,

a) Angel did not have the nerve to kill Darla in S1 of Buffy, she stayed in seclusion until S2, and comes out of hiding to find Angelus resurrected,

b) Drusilla does not sire Darla in S2 of Angel, he tends to her as she grows increasingly worse, and eventually falls in love with her ensouled.

c) Connor and Dawn share a moment not unlike something you’d find in classic Bangel.

Grandmadid it just posted most of these, but some of these scans are different and there might be one or two different ones. If they look a bit different than one is used to from ACJ, they were taken 20 years after his more familiar work and while he attempted to recreate his Manhattan studio exactly on his farm in Oxford Conn., there are naturally some differences.

Grandma raised questions about the provenance of the second to last photo. Its taken in front of a screen rather than the backdrop of the others which was a printed piece of fabric that became translucent in the right light (as is known from other Oxford photos). We have relatively few photos form Oxford, however, so it can neither be confirmed nor ruled out on that basis. But the screen doesn’t leap out at me as being a French card from the 1930s, certainly, and the proportions aren’t right for that. The way ACJ had his barn set up was he had a half dozen backdrops in different areas, so this one could simply a different part of the studio than where the other nudes were taken (the two head shots were obviously taken is a still different section). The model has the same body type as Newmar and the hair style could have been changed relatively quickly. I want to say its both ACJ and Newmar, but I am far from confident.
