Now that mom Ryder is confirmed for having died of eezo exposure, I’ve got one interesting new level to Candelario’s backstory and a few things to work out.

On the more complex story side, I did think of the fact that he would have been aware that the exposure is what gave him his abilities as soon as that fact came out. And considering how close he was to his mom, that fuckin hurts. Also, I can still use the whole thing where the twins were exposed/not exposed during in vitro, and Adoracion won’t have the same guilt he does with her not being biotically inclined at all.

But it does beg the question of how he overloaded his implants if it wasn’t protecting his mom, bc that definitely still happens.
