this was inspired both by chapter 133.5 where tanuma's mother a. exists, and b. apparently wants photos of him and natsume, as well as a conversation with @owletstarlet where we discussed how tanuma would take said photo. and, well, he'd be very embarrassed about it most likely AND he would insist on taking it on a nice camera, thank you, a phone photo Will Not Cut It. and so he pulls out his tripod and poses awkwardly with natsume in front of the camera, timer and everything.

i might be asking for too much but im hoping that if/when they adapt homura arc they will add a baby seiji flipping through the catalogue like they did with baby tanuma in the chobi ep. in fact they can even just full on trace that baby tanuma still i do not care i just want to see baby seiji and his cat vessel catalogue

WAITTTTT icb i havent posted about this but i've always imagined the "what's that... matoba... *faints*" scene to be that matoba hears a noise (of natori collapsing behind him) and so his "shuuichi-san?" is like 70% confused, 30% concerned, but the ova matoba making it so that he's already facing natori when it happens so it just becomes pure concern (and panic)... so good. so so good. and imo it should make it clear to the audience that natori's whole "i realized he certainly hadn't come here to save me (....)" inner monologue is a false assumption. i think if he'd said "he certainly hadn't come here just to save me" i would've let it slide, esp since it's also in line with matoba's own words, but natori dismissing it entirely is... hhhhh
