Chiyoh: Aw, that's so nice.
Will:(earlier this morning, barging into their bedroom with the fire alarm blaring in the background) WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! THE KITCHEN IS ON FIRE AGAIN! WAKE UP!

workplace witchcraft - memory and awareness
lately, I’ve been feeling like I’m losing my mind at work, like forgetting tasks that my manager asked me to do, etc, and it’s been pretty overwhelming and draining on my self confidence (it’s even followed me into anxiety dreams where all I do is forget simple things at work!)
I decided to make a little spell jar to give my memory and awareness an extra boost!
rosemary - for mental clarity and performance
dandelion seeds - for effortlessness and lightness of heart
ginger powder - for healing and alertness
red pepper flakes - for intensity and energy
bit of chili powder - for an extra kick in my ass!
sealed with red wax, for strength, power, and confidence :)

ADHD CONCENTRATION SPELL BOTTLE
Basil Sage Hamilyan Salt Chamomile Valerian Sea Salt (optional) glitter (l added it because I wrote the spell for a child) Small Bottle
Grind up all the ingredients except the Salt and Glitter. Add them to the tiny jar stirring them in. Which my small bottles I had to break a plastic fork for this. When you’re done adding these ingredients add in the salt and glitter. This will give your contents a pretty sparkle. After corking the bottle hold the bottle over your favorite calming incense. Concentrate on what you need to focus on and where you need protection on. Then hold the candle above a flame for a few seconds to charge it. “May I focus on the important things, and block out the frivolous. May I be protected from distractions, and those who wish to distract. May I be protected from those who wish to cause discord, or wish me ill will. As I will it, so will it be!”
Place at a spot you frequently work at. Whether it be your backpack, desk, or tool bag.

It’s just been announced that Melbourne is going into lockdown again for six weeks as of tomorrow midnight. To any student doing year 11 or 12 maths or physics who is stuck with a question or doesn’t understand something and can’t get adequate help from other sources, PLEASE MESSAGE ME! I’m doing a physics degree with a whole pile of third year maths electives. The South Australian and VCE curriculums are very similar and I’m in a similar timezone. I will post an explanation / example / answer the question or I we can organise a zoom or a livesteam on my yt channel where I do it on a whiteboard. Please be as specific as you can with your questions and I’ll do my best to get back to you in 24hours.

How to study for the VCE comparative essay
Hey guys! New post! We’re very slowly heading out of oral presentation and statement of intention territory - finally.
As such it’s time to get going on study for the comparative essay. Like all styles of writing, this is challenging, and you’re allowed to be totally lost. English is quite hard to teach, especially in a classroom setting, so it’s no surprise so many VCE students find studying for English hard.
Personally as a science student, the lack of specific direction in English pulled the metaphorical rug out from under me every time. While I can appreciate this approach now, I also have an edge most English teachers do not: I understand English study from the point of view of someone who didn’t find it easy in school.
As such, I’ve made it my mission as a tutor to make English accessible for all types of students. For those who enjoy formulae, I’m creating essay formulae. Below is my (ironically brief and loose) set of rules for how to study for a comparative essay.
1. Know the content of your books very well.      a. Learn about your characters.           i. Their literal actions           ii. Their motivations (what their actions tell us about them      b. Know all the events, characters involved, and order it all happens in      c. Learn what the symbols and motifs are, and what they represent
2. Think about the themes shown in each text.      a. Read as many essays and articles on the texts as you can. Learn about others’ interpretations in order to inform your own - but don’t copy straight out!      b. See what you can add to existing ideas      c. Think about the texts on your own - write as much as you can on a given theme, trying to explore it from all lenses and points of view
3. Make note of the themes that appear between the texts
4. Compare how each of these themes is dealt with
5. Consider each theme through the authorial intent
As usual, feel free to ask if you want more detail on each of these points. Each could totally take up an entire post on its own, so that’s something I might look into in the future. In the meantime, hope this was helpful! Good luck!
:))

‘eat the frog' method
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi all, it’s werelivingarts. I just stumbled across this method called ‘eat the frog’, which means you get the most difficult or important task out of your way first. I actually have been using this method for a long time, hope this post gives you a new way of managing your time and productivity! 😜 ❤️
“If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the biggest one first.” – Mark Twain
