I vaugely remember Violet going to the desert after the calamity, how was her life going after that point? While settling in w the knowledge her lil bro got 💀💀💀

She does. I like to imagine the yiga have set up base in the desert because they know the calamity is coming… they settle in the gerudo temple ruins and begin building it up to what it is so it’s sustainable during the event… probably long before violet was even born too… (the constellations are key… sheikah/yiga chart events by them…)

So yes she does go out there, she marries ron as soon as she comes of age so she leaves her father and brother behind, she’s six years older than link anyway…

She is devastated when she finds out about her brother’s death… and it causes a bit of trouble in paradise with her and ron, as ron has no sympathy for link dying… it’s sort of the whole point and she was on board with it too… until it actually happens… she can’t help but feel bad as link is also essentially a human sacrifice. Born to wield that blade. Cursed. Bound by prophecy~

Otherwise, she just keeps to herself, she and ron inevitably make up… shay has sympathy to extend to her at least, as she was good friends with link in their childhood (shay & skooga are the same age as link). Violet also is a witch, her mother was too - or more technically a “medic”. Making elixirs, things like that. Her name was Safflina, also flower named... I think she gets into ancient gerudo black magic a bit too but what happens to that shitty wizard (Astor) scares her off.

She’s around 💜 when she married ron, she was gifted the age rune as well, so she’ll be around a long time.

The queen was of hylia’s bloodline, the first in (new) ancient hyrule… post-rauru… and t’ah shaa gave her assistance as sheikah do… when the first calamity came about, the guardians, the beasts, the advanced weaponry etc… choosing the champions of yore…

The king is shitty tho, a dirty nasty man! He wants her and he wants to take advantage of her people because after winning the war he is OBSESSED with power! Consumed with GREED AND HATRED. Wants more. Everything! When t���ah shaa refuses him, he has it all destroyed…

It doesn’t make any sense to destroy and banish your own allies - a man consumed with greed and hatred, an egomaniac… That would have been probably the darkest time in hyrule’s (newer) bloody history… A new era of myth…

The king has T'ah Shaa imprisoned for conspiring and then executed via buried alive... buried with the rest of her people's things... forgot about...

but the underworld is the sheikah's domain...

In the dark we dwell now, we covert clumps of earth. Soon we'll rise to take Hyrule for everything it's worth.

this is my way of putting a ~dark link into botw... he is sort of more of a yokai skooga sees in the hills atop kakariko village while he stays there post-calamity... he watched it all happen... link is not technically dead and his spirit resides between worlds...

i took inspo from the blights from aoc as well, making the wound where he was blasted by the guardian dripping with malice... the reason he needs all those orbs to heal him!

Ok to go with my ~theory~ about their lifespan… rito grow up fast but stay adult-elder for a very long time, their several molts are also how they keep their clothing making business going… their adult colors begin to come in more vibrantly with each molt too 🪶
