Seeing all these posts made me want to post my own. #Selena was the first non related person I looked up to, she was my inspiration. My greatest memories as a kid are when my Mom use to be a radio DJ and take us to her concerts. I would see her back stage, but too mesmerized to go up and talk to her. I was happy just watching her walk by haha. Then my Mom would take us up on stage and we'd watch from the side, I still remember the feeling when she'd turned, smile and waved at me. Then one of the worse memories, when my Mom came home crying from having to tell me what happened. I just walked to my room,laid in my bunk bed, stared at the pictures on my wall and tried to process what I was told. I know a pot of people are like "what's the big deal, she's just a person." She was more than a person, she made the little me start dreaming. #selena
