A tiny bit of nerdiness found while walking in the Basque Country, a few days into the Camino de Santiago.

Healthy Cookie Monster Fudgey Brownie Mud-Cupcakes!
Okay…I'm seriously not going to become a pastry chef anytime soon! But this is what I achieved in one cold and rainy afternoon of experimenting!
So ugly, yet so delicious…and I feel they really capture the essence of our dear friend cookie monster!

I recently hiked the amazing Camino de Santiago in France and Spain. I came across this beautiful painting in the Spanish city of Ponferrada. The Spanish translates as: The important thing is not the goal, but the effort to get it.

Well whoa! The Saatchi Gallery in London is definitely worth a look if you can get yourself there. After visiting yesterday, my three chosen words to describe it: Witty, Shocking and Oh-So-Pop!
If you feel like exploring Consumerism, Religion, Sexuality and Cynicism then you'll want to check it out.
Alexander Kosolapov's 2007 sculpture Hero, Leader, God (top image) will put you in a philosophical mood all day as you ponder the title and try to make sense of it.
Paul McCarthy's 1993 sculpture Spaghetti Man is a large scaled statue of a bunny with a very big willy! Make of that what you will... I definitely got the "Less is more" sort of message from this piece.

My sister moved into a new place and inherited a 15 year old fridge that was painted in a style that I'm naming "Jack Daniels chic". (See the before photo..ew!)
I was like "Ew, no sister of mine is having a fridge like that in her house!"
So after spending $2 at the tipshop on minty green paint and about 5 hours work - here it is! I wanted it to look kinda Kelvinator-esque. I also had a go at pretending to be a sign painter..

A short run of Videoism V#3 was reprinted so I could drop a stack off at Sticky Institute in Melbourne. If the stack is still there, and it's on your way go grab one for free. Sticky Institute is a volunteer run space for zine makers to meet, make, collect and distribute. Some are free, some cost a couple of pennies. It's a great place to see the creativity that's happening around the place.
Being from Hobart, I often get lost in the big smoke. And being a woman, I'm pretty useless with maps (generalisation..I know..it's just a joke, don't get your knickers in a twist)! So here are the directions for finding sticky that I wish someone would have given me:
Get to the front of Flinders Street station. Cross the road. Stay on Flinders Street the whole time. Don't walk up Swanston. Don't walk up Elizabeth. The station should be in view the whole time. When you're on the street on the opposite side of the station, look for the little subway thing that will take you down to the subway shops. Easy!
