(guy who isnt beating the ocd voice) i know! maybe if i spend all night ruminating on something i feel guilty about until i’ve considered it from every possible angle and made myself physically ill, then i can finally forgive myself and i’ll feel better! 99% of morally abhorrent people stop self punishing right before they’re Absolved
#christ#last few years of my life summarized#im pretty open abt this but my health anxiety spiraled so out of control. i finally sought help and got told its OCD... now on meds.#health anxiety being ocd in my case aside the worst was just this. Thought Loops. recursive loop hell. absolutely do not wish it on anyone#sitting still and ruminating on thoughts nonstop until head begins to hurt and its 3 am#if it wasnt health issue in rare moment i absolutely would be ruminating on smth i did that made guilty. like girl can we relax here.#personal#tbd#ocd#took me way too long to realize it wasnt just anxiety that talk therapy could fix bc ppl joke about ocd so often in terms of cleanliness#cant even tell anyone irl!!!!! like yeah i got ocd. no not the cleaning kind#the kind where i wanna gnaw off my skin because a mole looks sus or my lower abdomen hurts meaning my appendix is about to go kaput#and i must cry and do nothing but think about my health issues because they dont stop and different symptoms come one after another#anyway. had to start meds recently bc typical distractions out of anxiety havent been helping for a while#placebo effect rly helped at first now im just somewhat chill and sleepy. ig its working ive been able to get out of Thought Loops recently
