A Question for the GGG Community on Bizzyboy Uniforms
Look at these dorks with their little uniforms. You can go all the way from their waists to the bottoms of their feet, and you'll never see a dividing line.

Flash Game Retrospective: "From Heaven to Hell: The Cries of Lost Souls" (part 2)
This is my second post in my retrospective of the game series "From Heaven to Hell: The Cries of Lost Souls".
When we left off, we were aware that something wrong had happened in our house. We've been hearing knocking, but nobody seems to be there. We cannot get into our mother's old room, as it has been locked. The power is out. Now, we are considering breaking down the door to the basement, since it is stuck.
Let's continue with Chapter 1: Home Alone.
We decide to check out the bookshelf in the living room.
There is a box on the shelf with something leaking out of it.
We look inside.
Henry: There's a key in here? I'v [sic] never seen this box here before.
Henry: It says "Cells" on the key
We decide to take the key and try it on the cabinet.
Henry: The key fits into this small lock?.. Thats strange
Henry: But why does it say "Cells" on it?
And now, we have a sledgehammer for the jammed basement door.
Henry: I knocked the door knob off.
Henry: What's this cell door doing here?
Henry: There's a lock on the door.
Henry: The key fits perfectly.
Henry: I'll leave the hammer here.
Henry: I found a flashlight.
We can see the stairs heading down into the basement.
As we enter the basement, we can see a table and a bookshelf. More troubling is that the basement wall is lined with prison cells, all locked. There is something on the floor in front of each of them, possibly blood.
Editors Note: When I played this game years ago, I remember each cell door having Wingdings on the central bar. However, this version doesn't have them. I discovered that there is an older version of the SWF that had the Wingdings, so I will include screenshots and translations from that version.
Cell #1:

Cell #3:

Cell #4:

Cell #5:

Well, this is all very strange.
There is some sort of panel on the wall above the table. There are four buttons underneath a set of four symbols.
Using the clue from the book from earlier, we pick the first, third, and fourth buttons, which reveal a switch.
Pulling the switch reveals a mechanism behind the panel, as well as a shotgun.
We pull the lever.
Henry: What is this lever for? I heard a noise to my right.
Henry: Theres a shotgun here. I'll take it. I might need it later...
Now, there is a noise coming from behind the bookshelf. We move it.
Henry: What's this door doing here? ...I'v [sic] never seen it here before...
What the hell is that thing?!
Whatever it was, it is dead now. We can proceed to the next door.
Henry: Great, another locked door. I don't have the key or anymore bullets. I need to go back and get the hammer I left upstairs.
Just then, a light turns on behind the door, and we hear something like footsteps.
And so, we finish Chapter 1.
Our protagonist, Henry, is a bit odd, isn't he? He had no reaction to the blood inside that box, and he had no reaction to the blood pooling under the jail cells. And yet, based on his reaction to the cell door behind the regular basement door, he had no idea about any of this. Was his mother hiding all of this?
And what the hell were those monsters at the end?
This game was mostly about exploring the house and reading the story, with light puzzle-solving and light FPS combat at the end. The later chapters have more FPS combat.
This chapter was pretty short. I enjoyed the story that they were setting up here.

Flash Game Retrospective: "From Heaven to Hell: The Cries of Lost Souls" (part 1)
I've been looking back at Flash games that I remember playing several years ago. One game series that comes to mind immediately was called "From Heaven to Hell: The Cries of Lost Souls". It was made by a developer that goes by a couple of names. They go by "Flash Dreams Studios" nowadays. However, they have also gone by "Lonely Boy16", "lifeisadream52", and "Michael Hernandez".
The protagonist of the series, Henry, is dealing with grief on the anniversary of his mother's death. For reasons unclear, he wasn't allowed to see her in the hospital to say goodbye. He plans to visit her grave. And then, one morning, he wakes up to discover that something strange has happened in his home.
The first chapter was released back in 2006. The second chapter was split into two parts and released in 2008. Then, the series sat without updates for about 10 years. The third chapter was released in 2018. However, it was very short, and it ended on a cliff-hanger. The developer has plans to re-make the games in the Unreal engine and tell the rest of the story.
A short demo for the remake of chapter 1 was released with a new title, "A Havens Descent: Cries of Distant Scars". However, development is currently paused in favor of an unrelated game, "Tracks of Denial". The last communication from the developer in 2024 indicated that they wanted to use the experience gained from "Tracks of Denial" to learn what they needed to know for the FHTH remake.
I want to talk through the games (including the Unreal demo) and give my thoughts. The series is a big point of nostalgia for me. This will spoil the series, of course. Mind you, the games have been out for several years now. As I said before, the story ended on a cliff-hanger, so only the developer can tell us the final story. Plus, if the Unreal engine remake is developed, it could have story differences from the flash version.
So, let's start with Chapter 1: Home Alone.
We start with a journal entry from Henry.
Dec. 19
It's almost been a year since I last saw you. It's different not having you around here... You allways [sic] loved Christmas. It gave you and I lots of hope in our hearts every year ... together. There's just a few more days left... I'm not sure what I will do but I will come see you ... The weather looks like it's getting pretty bas. But hey it's getting late, I'll write more tomorrow....
Love you and miss you,
Henry
And then we get some narration.
Henry then leaves his lamp on while falling asleep in his bed giving thoughts to memories of his mother. The nightmares get worse over night. But as soon as Henry wakes up in the morning, he then looks around the room and has a feeling as though something is wrong....
We wake up to the sound of someone or something knocking on the door.
It's snowing outside.
We proceed into the living room. All seems normal so far.
To our right, we find a locked room, our mother's old room. Henry: This is her room... I haven't been in her room ever since the day she passed away...
Henry: Strange... I don't even remember locking this door. I must of put the key somewhere...but where?
We are startled to hear the knocking again. Henry: ... ?!... What was that? ...
We decide to read the book that we found on the coffee table.
The English text on the first page is as follows:

Since someone was knocking earlier, we go to the front door and look outside. Nobody is there.
We go to the kitchen.
We observe the clock in the kitchen, as well as the words written upon it.
Henry: The clock has stopped at 7:00
Henry: "At Every Hour A Soul Is Lost"
Henry: I don't remember this on it...
The kitchen cabinet is locked.
We turn to face the living room, and we see the TV remote sitting on the divider between the kitchen and the living room.
Henry: Hm. Guess the cable is out. Must be the power.
Henry: I don't feel like watching tv right now anyways.
We turn to face two doors. One leads to the bathroom, while the other leads to the basement.
We remember that the door to the basement is jammed, and we contemplate breaking it open.
Henry: The downstairs door has been jammed for a while.
Henry: I'v [sic] never really needed to go down there though..
Henry: The knob wont [sic] budge or move at all.
Henry: Mabe [sic] there's something around here that I can use to take off the knob.
I've hit the image limit, so I will pick this up in another post.

Flying Minds - The Defunct Cyberchase Merch Empire (part 3)
I didn't think that I would be able to make a third part to this effort, but eBay user "Amazing Anthi's Commodities" just helped solve a mystery. Do you remember when I pointed out that Flying Minds listed a "Digit Plush Backpack", though the image wasn't saved on Wayback?

We knew about the Digit Plush, but it wasn't a backpack.

Now, thanks to eBay user "Amazing Anthi's Commodities", we know what the Digit Plush Backpack looked like. It was a plush-material bag with Digit's name and image on it.

Man, I love Psychonauts
This game, Piglet's Big Game, was released on PS2 and Gamecube back in 2003. It became a viral meme on the end of last year. The game involves Piglet facing his fears by entering his friends' dreams. The developers state that it was inspired by Resident Evil, and fans have compared it to both that and Silent Hill.
It does give me some Psychonauts vibes as well.

Bizzyboy Plush from Offalteeth
Look at this dummy here.

No, not da Capo. No, not Godpoke. No, not Meg. I'm talking about "InspektaVan Animal", Inspekta's driver. Seriously, that is their name, per the asset dump.
They drove a whole-ass campaign right into my house and then abandoned their vehicle and passenger.

Hang on, I recognize that outfit, and the absurd cake.

Clearly, this is one of the Bizzyboys. But who could it be?
A true Bizzyboy connoisseur can tell the boys apart by cake alone. What do you think?
It's Bananathaniel!

He likes to hang by his tail.

I can pick him up like this.

Hey Banana(thaniel), did you find something in my shelves of movies that you wanted to watch?

Oh Ban, i know you're in your 30s or something like that, but i don't think you're ready for "Begotten".

Maybe "Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin" is something more your size.

He was very brave regarding the Skullasaurus. But he went to pieces when Pooh started singing "Wherever You Are". Can't blame him.

I love this little guy. @offalteeth did an amazing job.

Beyond just the plush, he did a great bit of custom art on the box, showing Banathaniel in the passenger seat.

And, of course, you heard the squeaker in Ban's belly.
I'm hoping to get one of his friends when OffalTeeth does another round of these hairy men.

Cyberchase Meal Toys (2/?)
So, I've had some good luck on eBay recently.

Yep, I now have 3 out of 4 of them, with a small asterisk next to Matt, as I am missing an accessory.

Per the promotional photo from the Carl's Jr website and some images of sealed Matts from Worthpoint, he had a little activity mat to roll around on. I don't have one. I would love to get one to scan at high-resolution and share.
I am also missing item #4, the two-sided puzzle, which can be seen in some Worthpoint images.

However, rather than focusing on what I don't have, let me take some shots of the three boys that I have.
Full-resolution images, safe from any tumble compression, are over here on the Internet Archive.
Here are some shots of "Digit Measuring Tape".

Here's some shots of "Movin' Matt".

Of course, we can tell that this is not the real Matt, as his sneakers don't have the white part on them.

Now, how about "Delete with a Twist"?

All of his images are stock images that they re-used in plenty of place, placed on different back-grounds. I have to say, I don't really get the twisting gimmick. You would think that swapping around the heads would be interesting, but the don't really line-up of fit well due to the characters being scaled up differently from each other.

That kind-of works...

This one doesn't really work for me.

Now, that's a spoiler for a certain episode.

Almost forgot about Digit's surprise tool.
And now, let's have quite possibly the first video of Matt movin'. Super Merry over here is providing a surface, but Matt's little wheels are hard plastic. Without rubber tires, he doesn't move very well.
And there we are. I'll keep a look-out for the double-sided puzzle and the activity sheet that came with Matt.
I have half a mind to find a place with a good 3D scanner and have these guys scanned so that people can make 3D models or even 3D print them. These guys are rare, and I want more people to be able to enjoy them.

Pattypoke Starting Another Adventure

So, this is "Fate: Reawakened", a remaster/remake of the Fate series of top-down RPGs. I played the originals back in the days. Seen mixed reviews for the remaster. I decided to try to make Pattypoke for GGG here. I had the idea when I saw that the Cogger (body Type A) character had options for bushy black hair and a metal jaw that looks a bit like a bandana/muzzle.
Patty's looking a bit different these days, but there was no monke, so I just picked the blue-green one with the tongue and tail.

So, GYLT was super scary, eh?

Alright, I did not draw this myself. This was something I commissioned from a well known artist called Komori. You can see several examples of their work on Deviantart. They also have instructions on how to commission pieces for yourself. https://www.deviantart.com/commissionkomori
Anyway, this is probably the first tickle art from GYLT, that survival horror game from Tequilaworks. It was released on Google Stadia back in 2019, but then Stadia fell off, so it got ported to more systems in 2023 and 2024. I did two play-throughs of the PC port to get the achievements, and I really enjoyed it. It's not super challenging, given the weapons that you have, unless you are going for the achievement for not killing the monsters, of course.
Anyway, let's talk about what Komori did here. So, we've got our protagonist Sally, reunited with her cousin Emily. They look so happy to have found each other again, don't they? And they are making friends in the Other World.
They seem to be having a bit of trouble though. Not sure how they managed to get stuck in the Observer goo. Normally that stuff is more solid, and it's definitely holding them quite solidly now. But it seems that, for the briefest of moments, it wasn't solid enough. Still, Sally is a crack-shot with the flashlight's concentrated beam. If she can just focus and get a clean shot on the Observer eye stalks, the goo will shrink away to nothing.
Ah, there's problem #1. One of the "Stranger" monsters has decided to be a bully. Here it has swiped their shoes and managed to stretch out its long fingers and dig into one foot per target. I really like the posing here. The creature gets plenty of coverage with that one hand. Due to its body shape, it needs to brace itself against the Observer goo stocks. And, just to be extra mean, it's still managing to tweak Sally's toes. Of course, if Sally could get it together, then she could aim the flashlight at those weird growths and destroy it. Good luck with that. Maybe Emily can save them both?
Ah, yes, somehow Emily has an even less fair fight. Sally was able to pass her the Extinguisher weapon. That was a good call, as it's the only weapon that would be of any use with the Blame mannequin. Now, mind you, she cannot actually kill the Blame mannequin. They cannot be killed. The best that she can hope for is to temporarily freeze it in place with the extinguisher and get some relief on this side.
Now, I know it looks like she's missing the shot at point-blank range. Yeah, that's what happened. She's just too overwhelmed to focus here. I love the posing on the Blame mannequin. It's behind the make-shift stocks with our heroes, leaning over and digging into one foot from each of them. If this thing had an expressive face, it would be really smug right about now. It knows that it has nothing to worry about here.

Well, at least our two monsters aren't using their traditional attacks. The Stranger definitely has it's claws out, but you won't see any devastating slashes here. No, just some gentle scratches to make sure our heroes don't get bored. And the Blame mannequin is keeping its faceplate closed, so no life-force draining action here.
Now, the GYLT-heads in the audience are probably wondering why Sally hasn't used the flashlight's special flash-bulb attack, which would stun the enemies. Well, if she's anything like me, she forgot that it existed shortly after learning it.
Now, this still seems like a pretty weird scenario though, right? Are they both truly still trapped within the Other World, or is this some bizarre nightmare?
