i took a weekend away (definition of away here is looking at the dash for less than three minutes when i first opened my eyes and then once again for less than three minutes while i was searching for something).

clyping on about how this fandom is a safe space but it’s not. it’s not. it’s not safe for a lot of folk. it’s not safe for lgbtqia+, it’s not safe for black or brown folk, it’s not safe for anyone with mental health issues, and its certainly not safe for anyone with differing opinions.

and of course, that’s a broad generalisation here, bc there are individuals who will treat everyone the same and lift up others no matter what, who will show kindness and have it pulsing through their veins, who will let their inner light shine through their pores and warm every single person regardless of background.

but they are either few and far between, or they’re being shit all over.

this level of behviour is what i see in the children that i teach and it genuinely genuinely scares me and worries me that i’m seeing this in people that are supposed to be adults.

anyway. i don’t blame a single soul for wanting to leave this space. i know myself enough to know that i don’t have the willpower to stay away from this hellsite, which means that my mental health takes a massive fucking dip every time i spend more than five minutes here, but that’s on me.

if you’re someone who doesn’t feel safe in this fandom, i’m so sorry. i’ve used this site since ‘09 and i’ve never seen something as messy and horrible and divisive as this.

I just had an insane thought...

...so we know Jack was in the military and we assume Robby was in MSF because of the patch on his bag. And I've seen ideas go around about maybe that's how they met.

But what if (and I have no idea how this would occur) but what if, somehow, Robby's with MSF in the same area as Jack is with the military and that's when Jack gets blown up and Robby's the one who had to amputate to save Jack's life??
