i really dislike it when people compare Alphyne to Suselle as if Suselle was "Alphyne 2.0". like, ok, i can see a few similarities but they're still very clearly different from each other to me and it feels like people view both ships (including the characters alone) as nothing more than their "character arquetypes", if that makes sense. it's a little confusing maybe, because i should be fucking sleeping instead of thinking about ships i like. maybe i'll explain how i view each one of these ships and why i think they're so different from each other when i wake up

my favorite undertale character is Papyrus.

but i don't have many drawings of him... i wish i could make more Papyrus AU fanart but it's so hard to drawn him 😣

more of my Dreamberry rambling because it's almost midnight and i'm bored as hell hahahahah you can see this as both romantic or platonic, both are good. more headcannon than an actual character analysis, i guess...??

Blue looking up to Dream bothered him sometimes. Blue would be excited at the idea of meeting not a simple, ordinary royal guard, but the guardian of positivity himself. the one who comes across universes to protect the weaker ones from evil. people have told him that his dream of becoming a guard is silly, he has been understimated a lot and treated as inferior for it... so, how could he prove them wrong if he couldn't be a royal guard? well, by being something bigger than that, of course. isn't protecting universes enough to prove that he is, in fact, very strong? stronger than people think!

he has fighted by Dream's side before, and that was amazing... for a while. until he realized he was still feeling inferior, specially in comparison to him. he always felt that, despite letting Blue fight by his side sometimes, he was overly protective. he understimated Blue's skills (just like how the others did), and sometimes, didn't even let him fight along.

after some time, he stopped bringing Blue along in fights, and even became more distant, afraid he'd hurt him. it wasn't intentional of Dream's part to hurt him, but oh god... it did hurt for Blue to realize that the only one who saw potential on him was suddently leaving him behind. he felt lonely. and the ironic part is that Dream's intentions behind his actions are to protect Blue. he has no idea that he's hurting him instead, and he has this silly little habit of thinking he knows what's best for others. and sometimes he's right, sometimes he does knows what's best for others. but sometimes he doesn't.

Blue's admiration for Dream is strong. he wants to be like him. he looked up at him like some kind of leader, or someone superior to him, almost like a god. it was almost unhealthy.

and while some would think that being looked up to would be a boost of the ego, Dream didn't liked it. at all. because that's how people have been treating him his whole life. people think of him as some kind of person who commits no mistake, who is invencible, and this creates a lot of pressure, it makes him wish he was just an ordinary person instead of being such an imporant figure. imagine if the pure god-like being turned out to be not as pure as everyone thought? how would people react to know his true identity and feelings? he needs to keep this image people have been pushing on him to keep things working. that's why it becomes overwhelming for people to look up at him so much and become dependent, but he still wouldn't break his image people have created of him, and neither comunnicate about his struggles. he aknowledges his own mistakes, but constantly masks them.

their mistake in their relationship was to recreate people's expectatives on each other without even realizing it: Blue being seeing as someone inferior and Dream, as someone superior. it took them a while to work on this aspect of their dynamic and act more normally towards each other. both Dream and Blue stablished the way they want to be treated in this relationship: as an equal.

Dream stops looking down at Blue and Blue stops looking up at Dream (and by that i don't mean that he doesn't relies on Dream anymore, it's just that he doesn't see Dream as someone superior anymore). they're learned to ignore other's expectatives, and started treating each other in their unique way. they finally felt like they were actually talking so someone who were equal to them, for once. they don't feel pressure anymore, not when they're with each other...

So I posted this lesbian cream drawing and people seem to be eating it up (thank you for your support, everyone♡). Coincidentally, my bestie also said something something about them in the royal garden and Dream putting a flower crown on Cross's head? I procastinated and spent two days on this.

I think the biggest mistake is actually not using any references for this sketch, i don't know the first thing about how a skeleton's back look like, nor do I know what a royal garden looks like, gotta up my background game.
