fandom etiquette reminders

gentle reminder that people do not have to like/ship the popular ships in a fandom. widely popularized ships do not equal canon ships and even if they were, people are allowed to have different pairings they prefer. if one fandom creator popularized things, it does not mean that every single other creator has to also do that thing.

please be respectful and considerate of the people making free content for your enjoyment as well - you never know whats going on on the other end of the screen to cause an author to not upload a new chapter or why the artist hasn't posted new art in three weeks. their boundaries are just as important as anyone else's and deserve to be respected as a basic human right.

if you're a minor, do not participate in 18+ spaces! this is for your safety as well as the safety of everyone else. if anyone over the age of 18 insists its okay for you to participate in nsfw topics with them, run. be careful with what you're posting online, too. you never know who has ill intent when interacting with you.

be also incredibly mindful that not everyone wants to participate in fandom discourse. proship/antiship discourse, ship wars, "what are your thoughts on [insert problem here]", - these are good and fun in their own respects, but can be incredibly distressing if brought up out of nowhere.

fandom is supposed to be for fun, and it isn't fun if its stressful and dangerous.

hope is ok I reply to this post if not I can delete my post! but I had the idea that maybe he stared to get pissed off at her being so kind because maybe.. maybe he deep down wanted her to also telling him to well- "leave this place" like Moon and Sun did? I had this thought when I woke up, like- what if he is lookin for reasons to maybe die so then he wont feel like he just gave up- but rather only "follow what we all wanted!" because , something about "leaving this universe" felt like a lie.. idk why- the tones? but maybe is really truth yet still, he wants everyone to yell at him- tell him how horrible he is- and how much he deserve to not stay and when she didnt- and actually saw how hurt he was? it had him shocked? confused? uneasy- and after that- he was soft spoken- kinder? polite even as if- he deep down he's been waiting for someone to also listen his side- see he is hurted and even if he is not the one who blew up Lunar- nor did took over Sun's mind- he feels like he is the same person - "Im a monster" (parallel to Moon I guess- who everyone wanted to think he was the same but he wasnt) and fair- past him did all those bad things- horrible things- is up to Sun Moon and Lunar to fogive that past actions- her? she didn had to - but in her side- she still did forgive him for mean comments- and is truth- most of what happened with BM wasnt on Eclipse control- nor what Ruin did.. she has proven to be an neutral as one can when talking to the person who pretty much made your family live hell for 2 years- tho maybe too kin to explain herself - but is not so bad overall overall- I feel like Eclipse may plan to "die" to get Solar back, if only he finally gets to walk away..(and I felt like I DID post this before but seems like I didnt - but this is what I been hoping for him- to just- walk out! stop chasing Moon's shadow only to what? get a im sorry? that wont fix him and im glad he seems to see that)

Edit: ok saw it- liked it- and hey- I think im ok with Earth now- because I liked that she pretty much said what most of us Eclipse likers think of him everyone gave up on him too soon- he lash out the only way he knew and- not justify- but one can understand why he was this hatefull.. the fact she can tell she is not mean to fix everyone is important too- not just to eclipse but the audience too- she is not there to fix- she is just there to be there- and maybe she is only a people pleaser is why wants to see the good on everyone! eh- she talked too much but I guess I do that sin too so cant say much I liked Eclipse seems to be feeling like he can "open" to her- the fact he wanted her to hate him.. is because thats familar- he's used to it- warm? a smile on him? thats too new.. Oh boy did today's episode make anybody nervous? Moon's still emotionally drained from his breakdown and we're immediately met with Molten, who has completed his mission and now has nothing to do, we don't know were Ruin is or who Molten's creator is, and that just further adds to the tension But what took the cake was Moon, he immediately became angry, demanding answers of Molten who, if we were to believe what they said, physically isn't allowed to say because of a program their creator installed in them, and Moon's response was to start going off about being judge-jury-executioner and threatening to scrub Molten's code(which sounds less like extracting data like what Moon was doing with Ruin and more like ripping out the information, which could go very wrong for Molten, and Sun points that out) Then when Sun(who had immediately gone quiet and scared from the yelling again) tried to stop Moon, Moon started going off about the whole "we're robots" thing, and what was that? Like yes he and Sun and the others are robots, artificial beings who would technically be locked down and have information extracted at the whim of their makers at any time, but that doesn't make it right, even if Molten isn't fully sapient at least they seem to be able to feel complex existential emotions, so what was his point in trying to justify a code scrub like that? Thankfully he listened to Sun's words to hold off and interrogate Molten instead(who also didn't fight and shut themselves down, making themselves vulnerable), but it makes me wonder if this is a result of his talk with Old Moon, specifically what Old Moon said about "you're holding yourself back", and with how desperate New Moon is for a way to bring back Solar maybe he internalized that, hence jumping to a vicious solution like a data scrub on somebody who so far hasn't done as much as some of their villains have, New Moon is smart, he doesn't think he is but he is, he just arguably has less experience than Old Moon if we were to consider how long each was around, and New Moon is dealing with even more threats than Old Moon had, so of course it would feel like he's failing, but that conversation...He listened to Sun at the very least, and didn't do anything like threaten Sun like Old Moon might've whenever Sun would try to stop him from doing something cruel or rash, but it is worrying that it seems like New Moon might backslide when under this much pressure Who knows maybe that's just the paranoia talking, what does everyone think?

Hiii!~ so I just saw the ep today- cuz honestly? I want to see what Eclipse pla in is at the moment- and see if i care to stay haha but alas! im with you- the hell was that "we are robots!" talk to justify him being as low as humans- if we are mean to belive in this universe- robots have to right- mean to obey- and serve- yet few robot have been LUCKY to be sentient and more LUCKY to have magic to get out of trouble.. why is Moon acting like can just be this cruel? that felt too weird- what- because he is emotionally tired and depresso he gets to literally manhandle and invate a poor's robots mind and body? oh but then "Ruin doesnt deserve to sit all alone while slowly dying!" um sorry-- what?? I feel that talk with his old self made him try to BE like him- but " better too" yet right now? he's being an asshole- in my view because what right does HE have to not only Keep the crimal- but also choose how and when he dies! why does he think only HE has the bigger lost and only HE will be the savior- we know he knows other Universes with other Moon's (since he had stated to have travel in the past) hell Reverse Eclipse may be still alive if that universe is anything close to their Universe (if I remember- Ruin said their creator was an odd one- but never said unique!) overall! dont like that Moon wants to justify not lettings others- with better judgement and no emotional attachment to Ruin- handle his fate,the Justice that all of those dimentions deserve because yes- even IF he gets to save those tho died- still HE has No Right to play Judge- thats not his place- others affected whould also be able to have a say.. also I hated that the fist thing he does is - harm- yell- demand- thats so Old Moon of him.. and is sad -because he was showing to be so different- when he Meet Reversed Eclipse? he was polite- sure he wasnt as bias as he was before re-meeting Eclipse- yet still I loved he was polite and I do understand he is working his ass out- but still - he cant be this cruel to someone CLEARLY not well- im all on Sun side- dont fall low- be better than that- Sun can see this robot is only a servant to someone else who is no longer there to guide em- Im so glad Sun was there- he is the most emotinally smart one of the two.. but yes! what do you guys think? Im with anon here- I mostly rushed my view on it- since again- I care more of Eclipse plan- but- what did you guys felt?

I think sometimes the VAs work when sick, but there are times where they are absent for a whole week just like when moon went missing (I think last year) and it was because he was sick, or more recently Davis and Kat moved and they didn’t appear that’s why foxy or puppet showed up.

But I do agree I wish they could go back like the beginning where they would post lore videos on the weekends and for special occasions like the first Halloween takeover like they are doing it right now. I miss them playing more and just having fun I also wish they could finish a game like little nightmares, idk that’s wishful thinking, but also don’t try and speed run the game, play it like it’s the first time, or for games like cult of the lamb have a new save file start from the beginning so viewers get interested on it, just don’t jump on it and play it otherwise people won’t know what’s going on (I speak from experience, when watching their gameplays).

Ive bought games from the ones they played just to see how it ends or if the game is not available due to it being VR I see another YouTuber playing XD

yeye is kinda of sad they only get a "day off" is when sick, tho maybe we are assuming too much- since only time I knew of Moon's VA- sorry forgot the name- being sick and still working is been these past days - but I cant even say if its true! but the constant posting is something I dont like- one thing is a gameplay, ok is easy you just and play- but lore wise? knowing how that affects the fandom? mmh trickyyy I just wish they had time - just- time - idk get to choose and see if its a good idea or not - also these lines

ya know, something about the VA's having a chance to "vent" make fun and sometimes critic us fans and the way they have to work is pretty good- I know the UNO videos can be overall fun to watch- maybe cringe or boring to some but I love this last one were they seems just more open about what's up and how they feel overal - part of me wish the shows- all- would post one video per week- IMAGNE all the good stuffs! if they had a chance to cook! just let them have a way to create something good ! and not to it only because "hey I get payed to read likes and pretend I care"! like I know some do care- love and have a great time but I do worry they will be hitting burn out too much so now they both feed of the discord- comments - or do anything random because of the views and now because they care to tell a story let them just- work with less stress, no rush! maybe then fans wont be "hating all plots" or "be too picky over things" (also I hate knowing that Moon's VAs mostly had to still work while sick because of payment or contract, is why maybe he didnt show off as much but STILL did BM - Jack's voice and Lunars too - while sick! tho I hope im wrong still, too much work on one man's shoulder) yes is a darm YT show. yes is a view farm channel, I know, the moment I walked in the store I knew it was to get eyes on it- lore was second but aa.. one can only dream I guess

i felt their frustration reading their confession and it's true that there is a lot of infighting in the aroace spectrum community. i don't understand how other aspecs can be so aphobic and hateful to repulsed aroace people when repulsed aroace are the very start of the aroace spectrum, of the community itself. non-repulsed aspecs will always be more welcome in other lgbtq spaces than repulsed aroace. and many lgbtq people are already so aphobic to repulsed aroace in particular, not wanting them to be part of the lgbtq community in general. so instead of going against your own, why not be supportive and help them out? them saying that they want a tiny bit of representation or a tiny bit of respect for their representation shouldn't bother you. they have just as much as a right to have a representation as other lgbtq people do.

Really long post as a warning, apologies in advance

The new therapy episode is out with Moon this time and personally...I feel a little...Underwhelmed? Like things weren't addressed fully or didn't go far enough? It might just be because of headcanons but going point by point

Moon said he was involving Sun more with plans surrounding Solar but no he hasn't, he's told Sun about things but he hasn't actually asked Sun to help him on missions or with building anything, it's at least good that he's keep Sun somewhat in the loop but still

Sarcasm doesn't even begin to cover how Old Moon was, and the whole thing about "everything he did was because he loved and wanted to protect us" feels...Weird, because yes that was some of it, but Old Moon went about those things the complete wrong way, I mean he locked Sun in a bunker when he couldn't convince Sun out of going after Eclipse, and a bunch of other things like that, and other times what he did wasn't him even protecting them but lashing out or being impulsive, or doing things to avoid dealing with emotions or consequences, he was a bit of a coward, not everything Old Moon did was benevolent, a lot of it was selfish too

Old Moon not wanting to speak to Sun is also cowardly, and even if Old Moon is fearing it because "its the only thing he'll remember from now on", so what? He and Sun need closure and if he's afraid he'll lash out and hurt Sun he needs to control himself and actually apologize and listen to Sun's grievances rather than steamrolling or minimizing them, Sun may need convincing because of course he'd be avoidant, but this feels important enough that it probably should happen, and maybe Earth could help if she were to be there, if nothing else to be Sun's supportive rock in case things get heated, though it might also be good if Sun stands on his own, either way Earth's right that it might if nothing else bring clarity and closure if it were to happen

Old Moon telling New Moon to sacrifice himself again, even if he later went back on it, felt so wrong, because Old Moon had several other reasons he sacrificed himself besides just protecting people, like being crushed by guilt but not wanting to face it, doing it without asking anybody first because he didn't want to or didn't think it or whatever reason he had, and to ask New Moon to do that again even though, considering Old Moon could see New Moon's memories he could probably see how badly the grief of losing Old Moon affected everyone, especially Sun, if he claims to care about and want them to be happy so badly he shouldn't ask New Moon to put his family through the same trauma again, no wonder New Moon was put off, also Old Moon had threatened New Moon that if he failed to protect them he'd make New Moon pay and even if that was an empty threat that was still a threat

I feel like New Moon's concerns about Sun are valid, not that Sun has displayed actual worrying tendencies(yet), but we all know Sun's still bottling things up, keeping things quiet, he's so tired of losing everything and previously he did go to incredible lengths to protect people...Only for it to backfire(Old Moon's death, Bloodmoon in a way because of the psychological consequences for himself), and Sun taking a break from everything, I get what they mean, him stepping away, but as you've stated before it moreso felt like he was just left alone and nobody talked to him as usual, he still felt excluded and left to potentially fester, who knows if he's still hallucinating anymore

I want to see more of these talks Earth referred to since it still feels like Sun's left out of things and when we do see his therapy episodes he's still so quiet

And yeah...Sun is strong! Really freaking strong considering everything he's been through would break a lot of people and yet his mind hasn't snapped yet

I totally get why New Moon feels like he doesn't match up to Old Moon, not feeling smart enough or good enough, that somehow he is being "held back", yet I also feel like its a good thing, New Moon not being as angry and holding himself to a higher standard is a good thing, one of Old Moon's biggest flaws was his anger and the ruthlessness that resulted from it, the fact that Solar was the only one keeping New Moon back with his anger felt a bit odd though, I get why Sun wouldn't intervene because of trauma from Old Moon's outbursts, but it feels weird that Solar was the only person that could get New Moon to calm down and listen when in an enraged state, if New Moon is aware of that and doesn't want to be that way he could take steps to fix it now that Solar isn't around anymore(I miss Solar)

Old Moon did leave a legacy, but it wasn't a good one, it feels bad that that legacy haunts New Moon and was the first thing shoved on him since he has proven himself to be better than Old Moon in a lot of ways, but old vendettas die hard

I'm not going to address KC much(because thoughts on him his redemption still felt so weird), but it feels really weird that he didn't mention Dark Sun here, because this was the perfect place to mention him, why not tell Earth and Lunar since they should know if there's a potentially dangerous doppelganger of Sun running around, and have New Moon voice his feelings around seeing Dark Sun, since he was shaken when he first met him and it might be good for New Moon to process it, come to realize certain things about the greater multiverse and whatnot

It felt a little unsatisfying because it feels like some things were not addressed, like there could've been more revelations that could've happened but didn't, nothing was mentioned about Dark Sun, etc...Also a little miffed they didn't lay into Old Moon more but that's a nitpick. Though! The episode was still good in that it brought up some good points, not to seem like it's wholly negative, its good to see Moon get some more therapy after his breakdown and Sun giving him a break day

I do agree on something- these "therapy" seems at times, a one side chat of Earth trying to move the combo around (not bad but- I dont think thats what therapist should do..?) and other times is people just speaking without much "line" to follow and I guess is the only "real" thing on a therapy, you dont walk in there with a script, you let your ideas flow, and is a mess- yet still, you go there with a goal - kinda of. you let things out- or try to. I do see why Moon would not adress the actual important issue when in a emotional state, he seems to do that often, block on the issue and panic- stress and not listen.. (also yes- Sun has trauma with OldMoon but so did Solar too, why does he gets to be one calming Moon tho? is cute in ship but in canon is.. mmh-) Old Moon is always a eeky topic to touch, since we know he did loved his family, but we also cant deny all the trauma HE caused too and how many flaws he has, is not hate on him, is seeying the holes, adress the holes, and hope it would be fixed sooner Same as Sun, in my side- I dont want Sun to die- but Im not gonna deny the rather worrying details of is "calm life" - the drinking, being alone for too long (as a rather Social AI mind ya!) how he does go silent when Earth or anyone mention "how happy you look" they NEVER had meet his true happy self, his carefree self, his actual self.. they know the "not so stress out" Sun only.. and is sad! because Earth mistakes "happy" with "calm" is not the same Sun had lied before, with his magic, with being ok, with BloodMoon for months before anyone noticed - he can hide his issues again- one can hope now his family can indeed notice and not think "oh he is fine tho!" in all, I love your comment! I disappointed that only Earth, Lunar, Sun and Moon get normal gaming videos. But literally other charakter like Solar don't get it. (And I'm not talking about Take over videos cause those are different.)

aaa yee I miss seeying Eclipse or BM having some fun - or just play along!! I wanted SOO badly to see Solar and Lunar play again- and mind you! minecraft is not my top game- is mid- yet I see the fun of it!
