A brazilian solo developer who loves the look of the games from the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive era! Currently working on "Electro Doll Kiraya", a retro-styled 2D platformer.

“Women inspired one another even in the early days of games. Jane Jensen played Roberta Williams’ King’s Quest and loved it so much she applied to Sierra On-Line. She went on to co-write a game with Roberta, then solo write the Gabriel Knight series. Stories like these create a snowball effect.” - Mary Kenney, Gamer Girls: 25 Women Who Built the Video Game Industry

This game has one of my favorite covers of all time. Look at the details and use of color!

The first home port of Sega's Altered Beast was released in Japan for the Mega Drive on November 27, 1988 - about 5 months after the debut of the original arcade game. The cover artwork was by Michiaki Satoh - 佐藤道明.

I still can't believe this game is getting a new sequel for the Switch! I used to love to play Samba de Amigo on my Dreamcast, even without the maracas. It made my small hands hurt after some time, though!

The character designs I've made for my 2D Sega Genesis/Mega Drive style 2D platformer, Electro Doll Kiraya!
The protagonist: The rascal Mekarette robot Kiraya!
The villain: The obsessive Cyborg inventor and Kiraya's "mother", Dr. Ningyo!
The villain's little helper: Dr. Ningyo's "second daughter", the Mekarette robot Mikka-Chan!
Next time, I will talk a little bit about the process behind their designs and what I learned while trying to translate them into sprites!
More updates will be posted here and in my Youtube channel!

Kira Kira Kirou! Electro Doll Kiraya is a retro-style 2D platformer with action elements for PC inspired by many beloved games from the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive era such Sonic the Hedgehog, Rocket Knight Adventures, Ghouls'n Ghosts, Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure and The Revenge of Shinobi!
After accidentally getting free will from a failed experiment done by her evil creator, Dr.Ningyo, the humanoid Mekarette robot Kiraya runs away to explore the world, but her obsessive "mother" isn't going to let her best and most beloved invention go away that easily! Where Kiraya is, Ningyo and her Mekarette army also are, trying to catch her and causing chaos!
You can watch a video of the Alpha Version (1.0.) on Youtube. The game is being made with Gdevelop and is still in an extremely early stage of development, but progress is being made!
