Yep, Zhong Yi for women would consist of those items (though I’d say undershirt instead of under-robe, because robe to me implies a full body-length garment).

 To be specific, those items are called Zhong Yi (undershirt), Zhong Ku (drawers), and Zhong Qun (petticoat). “Zhong” means middle/inner, and “Ku” and “Qun” mean pant and skirt respectively. “Yi” means clothes, but it’s also used to refer to just the shirt.

Yes, lower body Neiyi exists, but I didn’t include it in the original post because I’m not very familiar with it ^^;; From a cursory search, there seems to be more information on male lower body Neiyi than female lower body Neiyi. Here’s an example of what appears to be historical Neiyi (these are actual artifacts):

I like to think the previous Qing Jing peak lord couldn't stand his disciples. All spoiled young masters that could excell at the arts, but were pants at anything strategy-related, which was absolutely indispensable to succeed him. Qing Jing was the Peak of scholars, yes, but its Peak Lord was the sect's strategist. His head disciple could not be an airhead.

Picture Sun Tzu, in the Art of War, trying to painfully explain the most obvious things about war strategy to a bunch of nobles with their feet so far away from the earth they might as well be a bunch of pigeons.

Then he meets Shen Jiu, shrewd and ruthless, too clever for his own good and inherently mistrusting, good at tricking and cheating and lying. He could smell the street rat on him from a mile away and was like, oh, that kid is not a fucking idiot. finally, I'll be able to retire.

I picture the former sect leader telling Shen Jiu something like "we've found you a place on An Ding, that peak is always in need of disciples" and the Qing Jing Peak Lord coming out of nowhere attracted by the the boy's incredulous expression and suspicious glare like "Dibs! Shixiong get that hand off his shoulder, that's my new disciple. Off! Bye! Shoo! I'll take him, I called dibs. BYE."

I got to see this painting while on my honeymoon, and eavesdrop on an analysis of it at the same time. The group on the left, with a character being hit by cupid’s arrow and looking toward the sword-bearer. The group on the right, with one character being grabbed by an ominous figure. And the character in the middle, overseeing it all. It immediately made me want to cast the MDZS characters into it, because my brain never gives them up.

First up, Nie Huaisang as the central figure. He is, after all, the guy who makes it happen. Love him giving side eye to what his big bro has going on.

Nie Mingjue close to his brother, and touching Lan Xichen, who is being caressed by Jin Guangyao. This is the most shadowed part of the piece.

Today's my birthday, which means I get to be self-indulgent and post art of my favorite fictional little man! \o/ And I do mean self-indulgent - this one was such a delight to make every step of the way. I'm always excited when I get commissioned to make papercraft art of Jiang Cheng, and even more excited when I get to craft him some beautiful robes, show off his Zidian skills, and spatter him with a little blood! I was especially happy with the paper for Zidian - it's holographic irl, and reflects all sorts of vibrant blues and coppery pinks when tilted. It really looks like lightning flashing as JC strikes!
