So I bought the Sims Legacy, all excited to play it after literal decades.

And....it didn't work. Couldn't even launch it, apparently you need some kind of special graphic card or setup for it to work. And you may think that was specified somewhere in the description, right? Well, no.

So I had to ask for a refund. I might try to get it later when my computer is upgraded. But ugh, so frustrating.

Behind Beau and Lucy we have Lucy's parents, John and Jennifer, and also their heir Richard and his wife Emmy.

And in front of them is the Flowers family, their eldest son Kelvin's family who all died so soon.

This might be the weirdest pairing I have ever had in the 15+ years of playing the Sims. Ever.

They both married in my game and turned out, Circe was the only woman he actually liked. And he was the family sim.

What happened to my Pleasantview? Part 2: The Broke Lineage

Here’s the second part of my Pleasantview stories. A bit long but has been fun to recall all of the events for this. Now I am seriously regretting not documenting all of this drama and stories!!

The Broke lineage is by far the biggest one of them all. Brandi is, at this point, the matriarch of the entire neighborhood and she is related to everyone else, which was her dream after all: a large family! (Her LTW was 6 grandkids)

Brandi struggled for a long time after the birth of her third son, Adam (unborn baby Broke). Dustin kept working as a thief alongside his good friend Gordon, but did not feel comfortable breaking the law. He wanted to become The Law and live a normal suburban life but felt responsible for his mother and two younger brothers. He did manage to get good enough notes to go to college and that’s where he really turned his life around. He worked hard to get his degree, married his longtime girlfriend Angela and had three children: Helen, Holly and Pete. After an entire lifetime of constant work he did become The Law and died happily, leaving a good fortune to his family and a strong legacy for the entire neighborhood.

Helen was a very active Romance sim, flirty and talented. Her musical talent became evident in her teen and college years. Holly inherited the family house after Dustin and Angela’s deaths and fell deeply in love with a guy named Ricky Cormier. They married and the family name changed to Cormier-Broke (because at this point the Brokes were anything but broke, but Holly wanted to honor her father and not lose the name completely). But there was a problem: Ricky had a history with Holly’s sister, Helen. Their relationship crashed hard when Helen decided to flirt and make out with Ricky at one of the family weddings where pretty much the entire neighborhood was gathering. After this, Helen and Holly’s relationship was broken beyond repair and Holly never forgave this, and neither did the rest of the family. So, Helen would live isolated from the rest of her family and former friends for the rest of her life, throwing herself at several men’s arms and to her career, becoming a music legend. She died alone at her huge apartment. Prior to the entire disaster, Holly had become pregnant and had a child, Oliver. She closed herself to love and focused on being a single mother after her divorce from Ricky. Oliver has recently married Joanna Dreamer (Dirk’s granddaughter).

Pete, the youngest of Dustin’s children, is the most beloved member of the entire family. He was too young to be caught in the middle of his older sisters’s drama and was too sweet to be corrupted anyway. He married Maisie Wallace, one of Cassandra and Darren’s granddaughters, and had a daughter, Anne.

Beau had a tough childhood just like his brother Dustin, although much easier than him thanks to his brother’s dedication. He became close friends with both Alexander Goth and Lucy Burb. The three of them were very close during their lifetimes. College, however, was hard on them all once romantic feelings began to develop between Alexander and Lucy and also between Lucy and Beau. Lucy and Beau ended up choosing each other, getting engaged since college and becoming a happy stable family. Both Beau and Lucy decided to make their family focus on gardening, choosing to rely mostly on their own produce instead of buying groceries, so that’s why the Burbs are known as the best gardeners in Pleasantview. Beau and Lucy had two children, Kelvin and Richard. Richard inherited the Burb farm, married a mysterious foreign girl named Emmy, and after a long period of infertility, they had two children, Orson and Ervin. Orson is set to become the new heir. Kelvin, on the other hand, married his college girlfriend Nancy Flowers and took her last name. They had two children, Titus and Farrah. Titus has recently become the sole heir after an accident in the kitchen took both Nancy and Farrah’s lives.

Adam (aka Unborn baby Broke), being Brandi’s third and middle child, did see the family go from living in trailers to be a consolidated family force. His first major life change was seeing his brother Dustin leave for college when he had just become a child, and so he was mostly close to Beau. At this point, Brandi met a new neighbor called Teddy Cross, they fell in love, got married, and had twins: Grant and Felicia. So, Adam also became quite close to his younger half siblings. In his teen years he met Meadow Thayer, took her last name and went on to marry her. They were close to being broke at first and had a tough beginning especially after the birth of their twins, Camilla and Cora. But Adam did manage to become a huge soccer star and Meadow was a big support to him and his family. He was the one with the lowest profile out of the five siblings and died peacefully of old age. Adam’s daughter, Camilla, became the heiress of his and Meadow’s house. She married Matthias Goth, Alexander’s eldest child, and had three children: Alex, Harper and Nate. Both Camilla and Matthias have recently became elders and are enjoying their children’s company before they all move to college. Harper is set to become the heir and the Thayers are, as of now, the only Matriarchy in Pleasantview.

Cora remained single for a while, falling in love with inappropriate men, most notoriously Omar Morrison (who was dating his second wife Maggie at the time and old enough to be her father) and Nicholas Stratton (Kaylynn’s youngest son…and also married). She met her husband, Dorian Kauker, when he helped her after a burglar entered her apartment. They had a son, Gabriel.

Teddy and Brandi had another financial setback and were forced to live temporarily at smaller trailers, and so their children lived with some restrictions but under a completely different context than that of Dustin, Beau and Adam. Grant was the only one of Brandi’s children who inherited her aspiration and also shared her visions of a big family. He met his wife, Kara (Cassandra and Darren’s daughter) since childhood and was always faithful to her. They had three daughters: Celine, Gina and Polly. Celine inherited the Cross name and house and is now a renowned actress, Gina married into the Morrisons and had two daughters, Tegan and Veronica; and Polly is just living her life as free townie.

Felicia, Brandi’s youngest and only daughter, was basically Brandi’s clone (regarding her looks) but was the opposite personality wise. A free spirit and highly athletic, she decided to follow in her big brother Adam’s footsteps in the Athletic career and somehow developed commitment issues, so she never married. She did, however, become close to Kennedy Cox who is the father of her only daughter, Ursula. When Ursula became an adult the family name was officially changed to Cox. Ursula began dating Isaac Dreamer after she became an adult and they get along so well despite the big age gap. They had one daughter, Rachel, and Isaac has recently moved in.

What happened to my Pleasantview? Part 1

So I’ve had my current Pleasantview save for more than a year and a half now, and since I wasn’t really planning on posting about it I barely have any good quality pictures, so I thought it’d be best to share what has happened to my Pleasantview as I do intend to post the current generation and future ones.

So, here it goes:

Lothario lineage: Don did marry Cassandra but their marriage was very very short. They had a very good looking boy, Carl Lothario-Goth. Don went back to his condo after his divorce, taking one third of the Goth fortune with him. Then, when Carl was a child, he randomly died after one of his many bachelor nights with dates. Carl then went on inheriting his father’s condo as well as his commitment issues trait. He had a long time relationship with one of the many girls he met on college, Margaret Paul, and had a girl, Rosalie. After this point, the Lothario name was changed to Lothario-Paul. Rosalie is basically the female version of Don, having lots of men over until she got pregnant by her long time “friend”, and had Selena.

Goth lineage: Currently split between Cassandra’s descendants and Alexander’s descendants. Cassandra’s descendants are the Wallace family while Alexander’s line kept the Goth surname.

Cassandra went on to marry Darren Dreamer (at this point they were known as the Dreamers) and had two children: Kara and Travis. Kara married Brandi’s fourth child (more on this later) and Travis married his high school sweetheart Angelica Wallace. After their marriage he took her last name and inherited Cassandra and Darren’s home after they both died. They had two daughters, Vivian and Maisie. Maisie became the heir and married Pete Broke, Dustin’s youngest child and only son, and now are raising a daughter, Anne.

Alexander took over the Goth manor after Dina was successfully kicked out of it and Cassandra decided to buy another house with Darren in order to distance herself from the Goth brand, so to say. He had trouble finding a suitable woman and ended up going on a very random blind date in which he met police officer Demi Love. They fell in love rather quickly and married. Demi then changed her name to the more Goth-like Demetria and had three children: Matthias, Elizabeth and Gerald. Everything was going well and the family was well on their way to recovering from the hard blow of losing two thirds of their fortune after Dina and Don messing them up, and Alexander had just become Mad Scientist like his father, but then he died after being scared to death by his great grandfather. Matthias went on to marry Adam Broke’s daughter, Gerald moved downtown and Elizabeth became the first Goth female family head. She married Brad and has two children, Beatrice and Isaiah.

The Caliente lineage: Dina managed to seduce Mortimer and married him immediately after Cassandra and Don’s wedding. In order to ensure herself to part of her husband’s fortune, she had a son with him, Paulo. Mortimer died soon after his birth. After this, Cassandra and Dina ended in a lengthy legal battle which ended with Dina taking one third of the Goth’s money as settlement so Cassandra and Alexander wouldn’t lose their iconic house. Then Dina and Paulo moved back in with Nina, but Nina died after being scared to death by Michael Bachelor’s ghost which was interpreted as revenge from Netherworld for destroying the Goth family and basically stealing their fortune. Dina then vowed to make herself independent especially after also losing her friend and lover Don. She then met a new resident called Darnell Morrison, who she genuinely fell in love with and married. After this, she was known as Dina Morrison. She had another child, Omar, learned the value of good work (that fortune needed to be invested somehow) and became quite successful as a lawyer. She also became a good mother to both Paulo and Omar. Omar became the Morrison heir and married Claudia Langerak, Kaylynn’s oldest child. They had two boys, Ryan and Lucien. Omar and Claudia were set to become Pleasantview’s most famous couple after Mortimer and Bella, but Claudia tragically died after being struck by lightning. Omar then lived in grief for a long time just focusing on his architectural career and raising his two boys. After some time and when his sons were teenagers, he met college senior Maggie and married her, and then had two daughters, Gabrielle and Rita. Lucien was named heir of the Morrisons, met and married Gina Cross and had two daughters, Tegan and Veronica. They now live in Pleasantview’s most expensive mansion.

Paulo has lived his whole life as the “second class Goth”, apart from his half-siblings who barely acknowledged his existence. He became a vampire and did become friends with both Elizabeth and Gerald. He has recently married Petra Pleasant (Lilith’s daughter). He also explored with astronomy for a bit, ended up being abducted by aliens which resulted in a daughter, Adelaide. She married some townie called Merle Walsh and has two daughters, Renata and Julia.

The Dreamer lineage: Dirk’s descendants.

Dirk lived with his dad and stepmother for a while, then went to college. Shortly before going to college, he met Sophie Miguel with whom he clicked almost immediately. Sophie followed him to college where their romance blossomed. It was tough for Dirk but he ended up choosing Sophie, breaking both his and Lilith’s hearts. Dirk and Sophie married and had two children, Virgil and Isaac. Dirk died in a fire, just like his mother. Shortly after, Isaac was taken away by the social worker as Sophie was too distraught to look after him. Virgil went on to marry Zahara, Lilith’s daughter, with whom he had three bolts and a very deep love from the beginning. They had a daughter, Joanna, who has recently married Oliver Cormier-Broke (Dustin’s grandson).

Hi to anyone who might be reading this. I used to have this one quite active a long long time ago and I was wondering about this space I had so I can share my Sims stories.

Basically Sims 3 does not work in my current computer anymore but Sims 2 does! and I have been with Pleasantview and Strangetown’s stories. Will be posting my pics over here but no legacies. Kinda no.

I can't believe I already have 13 generations of Kanes! I'm so attached to that family and I never really thought I'd still be interested in playing with the same family for almost as long as I've been playing Sims 3.

Still need to share all the pics of everything that's happened to them in the last three generations. A LOT to edit...
