acceptance is no fanfare.
it is humble, and a little feeble. it’s so quiet, it’s such a lonely act. it slips in the back door as the last of rage leaves, and it’s here to stay. it’s not always empowering, sometimes it’s in defeat. it’s never not at least a little bit sad. it’s the final step of grieving, the last page of a book you can’t imagine finishing, it all ending.
