Found a tea shop ▶️▶️▶️@meileaf unexpectedly in Camden Town serving matcha ice-cream. It could have a stronger, bitter matcha taste but its light, smooth, not too sweet and oooo, that extra sprinkling of matcha makes me jump with joy (not literally). Portion size was generous for £3.50. Also available in a cone, if you prefer. . It's fried chicken so I had to go! Soft launch or no soft launch. . The fried chicken I thought was pretty average. Colour looked quite over fried (I was a little worried about developing sore throat) and was pretty average but I enjoyed that black eyed pea. A lot! I think I've lost my mind when I tried to make fried chicken on this shallow non-stick pan. Totally impractical because worktop was a hideous mess and I've never been attacked by oil so much even when working in a restaurant kitchen. Yes, chocolate brownie should be slightly under cooked and moist in the middle but this feels more than underbaked. Almost gooey with rawness with icy particles in the vanilla ice-cream. A disappointment with this platter of fried seafood. The batter was soggy and food was oily. The rustic style of platting up just didn't make it because most of my food was either dropping into the sauce or on the table. I'd go vegan for you @naomi_loo 😆. . The wordings on the menu were a little confusing either was a genuine mistake or deliberately making it sound like a medley of foodstuff we were going to get. Grilled aubergine was nice but I didn't feel it's a complete main meal (as we were told). Makes a great side dish, though. Jackfruit rendang coconut curry was very mild but the coconut cream based paired nicely with the black glutinous rice. .
