Imagine Abysswalker being caught and right before he's publicly executed or smth Princess!MC bursts in like "HE ONLY KILLED THOSE PEOPLE BECAUSE I TOLD HIM TOO!!" Forcing the nobles into a really rough place bc the civilians are now on Raf's side since if the Princess wanted those people dead thats kind of like,,, her divine right??? Its her who gives eternal life so like if she thinks someone doesnt deserve it anymore who could tell her she's wrong?? They certainly think no one can.

Meanwhile the nobles (who are the people who've been getting assassinated and most CERTAINLY want Rafayel dead) are torn between wanting to continue on with the execution even though it would very publicly show them going against the Princess' wishes, and those who want to stop for that exact reason. Ultimately the decision is up to the King, and since his ENTIRE RIGHT TO RULE is dependant on the Princess and her divine heart, he has to stop the execution and now deal with the aftermath of everyone knowing the Princess works with the Lemurians (she just knows the one really but like she's willing to lie)

This would kick start an entire chain of events but like I havent thought much passed this lmao

Princess!MC doesn't know Rafayel has a beauty mark on his chest because of how covered the Abysswalker outfit is, and I think when she finally does see him shirtless (for some reason or another idk maybe he's injured) she tries sooo hard to play it cool and nonchalant but inevitably does this mid convo:

And then refuses to admit she did it which just opens her up to a lot of teasing LMAO

I haven't yapped about Rafayel in too long so I'll share that I'm working on a drama Abysswalker AU where after getting her memories erased and Raf leaving, Princess!MC gets arranged married and a few years later has a kid (kind of a bad ending of my 'Everlasting Vow' oneshot) and ofc 4 months after the baby is born the Lemurians do a sudden take over of the castle bc they're trying to find an alternate way to restore the sea and the clues have led them right back to the desert palace.

Now Rafayel and MC have to navigate their emotions and what their relationship is amidst a very different situation from where they left off, what with both of them now with other people they have to fight for and MC certain Rafayel is just going to leave her again (he cant say he won't), and she knows the king and queen + her arranged husband aren't on her side, so she's trying to figure out how to use this opportunity to set herself and her kid up with a better future (overthrowing the king and queen and becoming the monarch herself maybe?? Setting herself up as some sort of religious figurehead?? Becoming a goddess queen??) All the while fighting her high strung paranoia that she's going to wake up and find her baby missing bc Raf leaving the first time left a deep wound...

Anyway, its a really emotional au where despite it all Raf and MC just wanna kiss and hug and nap aksjs

big fan of gamefreak taking assorted women that were overlooked by the fanbase in their (somewhat rushed) original game, and giving them big roles in Z-A, both of which directly imply character arcs from their previous appearances (Emma as a full-fledged detective on her own now, with Mable either having a redemption arc or engaging in a long con as a Team Flare scientist turned professor). also their designs are just really cute honestly
