I've got so much on plate atm the moment and not feeling the best a lot of the time and it's making it difficult to focus on most things.

"Oh fuck off." Izzy retorted instantly with a roll of his eyes and a shake of his head as he turned it to look at the water. Hesitating for a moment at how genuine Frenchie sounded. It had almost sounded to Izzy as if the younger man was being truthful. That he really believed he was amazing.

Frenchie obviously didn't know him well enough then, or something was clouding his judgement. Maybe he was drunk of somehow got some of Ed's old Rhino Horn in his system. Because how could he believe that Izzy of all people was amazing? Did he not remember how he was to all the crew when they first met? How the first mate treated them and how all of them, Frenchie included, wanted to toss him over board?

"We both know you're talking a load of shit, French. I'm not amazing. You know I'm not. I couldn't be further from after all I've done. After all I let... him do, to all of you." Izzy's words trailed off as he spoke and hung his head with a sigh.

"I don't deserve this, but..... French, you can do better than me."

Frenchie hadn't intended to expose so much of himself, of his feelings, but when Izzy was downing himself so much, it was a necessary sacrifice. Besides, he'd always had a big heart and had never been shy before about sharing his emotions.

All he had needed to reaffirm himself was the very obvious knowledge that he'd been right: it was Izzy's insecurity causing him to hesitate. Soft smile on his face, he nodded, sharp and decisive, simple, "I want to be with you."

Still, he suspected it would take more than that to fight Izzy's doubt, so he squirmed forward a bit more, pressing in close, stealing Izzy's hands to hold in his own, "I know what I want Izzy. It's you. There is no one better. Not to me. Not for me. Just you." Eyes wide, earnest, nothing but honest truth ringing through his words. Then, a hint of a tease, but still so truthful, "I'm not sure how you missed the memo, but you're amazing, babe."
